Pete’s Pov

A wave of shock coursed through me when Nop uttered those words.

“What do you mean?” Vegas demanded, surging forward with urgency.

“The bodyguard who went to pick him up couldn’t find him. He searched the whole area, but Khun Macau was nowhere to be found. I tried calling him several times, but his phone Is switched off.” Nop replied breathlessly.

“Go and get the car ready. We’re heading to his school.” As soon as Vegas gave the order, Nop sprinted out.

Vegas quickly pulled out his phone and opened the app linked to the pendant on Macau’s favourite chain. For Macau’s safety, Vegas had given him that pendant to help us find him if something happens to him. But as Vegas checked the app, his face grew even more tense.

“What is it?” I asked, moving closer, touching his shoulder gently.

“I can’t find the location, Pete. Someone destroyed it.”

“Vegas… we’ll find him. Don’t worry.”

He nodded, already dressing with purpose.

“I’m going to search the school grounds. I’ll bring Macau back, alright?” Vegas said, brushing his hand against my cheek.

“Mm… Bring Macau home. Take care.” I whispered, hugging him tightly.

Vegas grabbed his gun, and I followed him to the car. I wanted to go with him, but I knew he wouldn’t allow it, so I stayed silent.

Please, God… please don’t let Macau be harmed. He is our everything. Please help us find him.

I closed my eyes, a desperate prayer on my lips.

Vegas’s Pov

The moment we reached the school, I, along with the bodyguards, began searching every inch of the place, but to no avail. Without wasting any time, I reviewed the nearby CCTV cameras.

A camera from a shop across the street captured a video of my brother being taken.

Macau was walking with another guy, chatting happily, holding hands, and eating candies they’d bought from the shop. As they reached the road, a black SUV screeched to a stop in front of them. Four masked men emerged, grabbing Macau and pulling him toward the car. His friend fought back, but it was useless. Despite Macau’s struggle, they managed to drag him into the vehicle, which sped away immediately. His friend ran after the car.

I scratched my head in frustration. Other CCTV cameras showed the boy jumping onto a motorcycle, trying desperately to catch up with the car, but that was all.

“Nop, send the details of the car to Som. Tell him to find the owner immediately.” I instructed, my voice calm, though my heart raced.

Worrying too much about Macau would only slow us down. To find him, I had to stay composed and consider all possibilities. Nothing could happen to Macau.

My phone buzzed, and Som’s name flashed on the screen.

“Got it?” I asked.

“Yes, Khun Vegas. The car belongs to someone named Charaswit, but he’s no longer alive.”

“What? Send me the photo right away.”

“Understood, Khun Vegas.”

I hung up, and a moment later, Som’s message appeared. I didn’t recognize the face in the photo.
