"Firecracker!" I hear an all too familiar voice call out to me. My early morning jog slows down to a walk, turning on my heels as an old friend approaches.

"Barry?" I question, a smile on my face as I push my headphones off of my head and around my neck. He approaches me with a grin, wrapping his arms around me to lift me off of my feet in a tight hug. He lowers me back to the ground and steps down, something unrecognisable in his eyes, "Something must be wrong, you're up early,"

He laughs at my joke, lifting his hand to scratch his face before his smile drops. I feel uneasy at his weird demeanour, but I push it away as he speaks, "You talk to country club?"

"Rafe? Not really, no," I shake my head, inspecting him for any clue as to what's going on. "I mean, I technically live with him now but we're not exactly on speaking terms, haven't been for a while now,"

"That's cool, that's cool," He nods, licking his teeth from behind his lip. I can tell from his expression that it is, in fact, not cool. "When you see him, tell him I ain't forget 'bout what he owes,"

"Yeah, sure thing," I nod, swallowing a lump in my throat at the suggestion. "Nice seeing you, Barry,"

"You too, P. Stay safe out there," He points to me with a sly grin as he steps back before turning his back to me and walking off. I release a prolonged breath, immediately taking off in the direction of the Cameron house.
