8. The Ferreiras

Wednesday - July 17 - 2 pm

Lunch time had already passed, and we were all tired after eating so much food, so when no one expected someone to knock on the door, then my father gets up from the couch and goes to see who it is.

As soon as he opens the door, my mother comes in and already starts talking

- Hi Richard, Hi boys, Hi Lizzy

- Hey Mom - I say with a light smile on my face

- Look, I know I've never been present, and I know that nothing I do will justify or at least erase all the shit I've done all these years, but I wanted a chance to start over with you - She finishes, and waits for the answer from all of us, but ends up being surprised by Lizzy who gets up and says

- What do you have in mind, mom? - Lizzy says as soon as she gets up

- I thought of a dinner, so we can catch up, but only if you want - She proposes

- I think it's very cool, can it be today? - Lizzy asks

- Of course, daughter - She answers with a smile on her face

- Does everyone agree? - Lizzy asks

- C-of course, it's okay! - I say opening a smile on my face, because for the first time in my entire life, our family is getting back on track

- Okay then, I'm going because I have to solve some things, and I'll take the opportunity to buy dinner - She says and goes to the door

- Okay, I'll take you to the door - Lizzy says and goes towards you

So Lizzy goes to the door

- Well, see you later - Lizzy says

- See you later, daughter - My mother answers

So after a long time we had dinner and it was very nice, because I saw that my mother was really trying to be present and Lizzy is managing to accept this happened. After Dinner my mother left and I went to take my shower to go to bed. So after a few minutes someone knocks on the door, and then Lizzy will answer.

Pov. Lizzy

As soon as they knock on the door, I'll leave my room and answer. As soon as I open it, I come across Nathan.

- What the fuck are you doing here? - I ask as soon as I open the door

- Please don't close the door - He says

- Why in Nathan? Wasn't ending Lucas' life enough? Now you want to come here to remind him of all the shit you made him go through? - I scream

- That's what you didn't understand - He says

- How is it? - I ask totally confused

- I didn't come to talk to Lucas, I came to talk to you - He says, making me even more confused

- What do you want to talk to me about? - I ask

- It's time for you to know that I'm not the villain of this story - He says with a lot of certainty
