PHASE I
Chapter 12:: Breaking the Rules

AUTHOR

As they began working on their project, Tanvi found herself enjoying Aayush's company more and more. They spent hours researching and preparing their presentation, laughing and joking together like they used to.

But despite the fun they were having, Tanvi couldn't shake off the feeling that she was doing something wrong. Her grandfather's words kept echoing in her mind, warning her away from Aayush.

One day, as they were working on their project at Aayush's house, his mother came into the room with a warm smile. "Tanvi, beta, would you like some snacks? I made some fresh samosas."

Tanvi's heart skipped a beat as she met Aayush's gaze. She knew that his mother's kindness was a sign of acceptance, and it made her feel like she belonged.

But as she smiled and thanked Aayush's mother, Tanvi couldn't help but wonder what her own grandfather would say if he knew she was spending so much time with Aayush...

Just then, Aayush's phone rang, and he got up to answer it. Tanvi watched as his expression changed from happy to serious.

"What's wrong?" she asked, feeling a pang of concern.

Aayush hesitated before answering. "It's my friend. He saw your grandfather at the temple, and he overheard him talking about...about us."

Tanvi's heart sank. What had her grandfather said? And what did it mean for their friendship?

Aayush's eyes locked onto Tanvi's, filled with a mix of concern and warning. "He's not happy, Tanvi. He's planning something."

Tanvi's mind raced as she tried to process the information. What could her grandfather possibly plan to do?

Just then, Aayush's mother called out from the kitchen, "Aayush, Tanvi, come eat something! You've been studying for hours."

But Tanvi's appetite was gone. She felt a sense of dread wash over her, knowing that her grandfather's displeasure could mean trouble for her and Aayush.

As they sat down to eat, Tanvi couldn't shake off the feeling that they were running out of time. She knew she had to confront her grandfather, but she was scared of what might happen...

"Aayush, I have to tell you something," Tanvi said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Aayush looked at her, his eyes filled with concern. "What is it, Tanvi?"

Tanvi took a deep breath before speaking. "I think I should stay away from you. For your own good."

Aayush's expression turned determined. "No, Tanvi. I won't let you push me away. We're in this together, always."

But Tanvi knew that her grandfather's wrath wouldn't be so easily defeated. She knew that she had to protect Aayush, even if it meant sacrificing their friendship.

Aayush's words echoed in Tanvi's mind, but she knew she couldn't ignore the danger. She had to protect him, no matter what.

"Aayush, please understand," Tanvi said, her voice firm but desperate. "My grandfather won't hesitate to hurt you if he finds out we're still friends."
