Christmas was over and gone it all passed in what seemed like a blur to Ronnie, she celebrated with her friends with an early New Year party they did what they always did and had a massive party, everyone was drunk and having a good time especially George he really let loose— maybe too loose.

Flashback

Ronnie was dancing in the club with all her friends everybody was drinking doing shot after shot, downing their drinks and buying new ones over and over again. Ronnie went to the club toilet on her own she tried to push her way through the dancing sweaty people and reach the bathrooms, when she got there she took out her phone and saw the time was close to midnight and even though she had been drinking Ronnie knew she had to be up early so she could fly back to L.A so she could spend the New Year with Jake who she missed dearly the time difference between the two countries was really playing havoc on how much the couple spoke to each other either over text message or a proper phone call.

When Ronnie made her way to the unusually empty bathroom she took a deep breath and just took in the silence around her all she could hear in the background was the muffled music and bass from the club but this was as much quiet she was going to get so it didn't matter to her. She unlocked her phone and saw she had a text message from Jake it simply just read 'I'm excited to have you home with me, these weeks have felt like months and I miss you so much this new year is going to be our year. I love you.' Ronnie smiled at the text message that she just received she really was lucky to have someone like Jake, he was the kindest man she had ever met in her life he couldn't do enough for her if he tried.

When Ronnie left the bathroom she found her friends sitting in a booth that they had hired out for when they had enough of dancing and could just sit down and drink together,

"So when do you fly back to America?" Chris asked Ronnie as she put down her drink

"Nine in the morning." She replied simply

"You're going to be exhausted!" April laughed and so did Arthur who had his arm around April, even though the two of them hadn't made it exclusive everybody knew that they were dating it was just one of those things that people were aware of but just didn't really mention.

"I know but it's got to be done if I want to start the new year with Jake." Ronnie explained with a soft smile

"You really love him don't you?" George asked and even though Ronnie was oblivious to the look that Chris and Cam gave each other over the question George asked Ronnie the young girl nodded her head with a smile
"So you'll stay living in America then." George continued

"Um yeah I suppose I will I can't see myself being with anyone else except him."

"You said that about Jasper though." Tilly commented and Noelle rolled her eyes at what her friend had said

"Yes and I was wrong. But I'm not wrong about Jake he is the love of my life." Ronnie smiled and when the group heard that they were shocked that something like that had just come so casually out of Ronnie's mouth— George felt like he had been punched in his stomach hearing that felt like a dagger straight through his heart yet he knew he couldn't show that feeling on his face especially in front of Ronnie.

As the night went on Ronnie was dancing with Cam and really enjoying herself, she was starting to get tired and wanted to stop herself from drinking too much so she didn't regret her decision in the morning, it was early hours and the club was closing at four the time was currently two in the morning and Ronnie was ready to call it a night,

"Im going to head off." Ronnie shouted in Chris' ear over the loud music and he nodded his head and agreed with her

"Let one of us know that you got back safe." He shouted back to her and she nodded her head with a smile. Ronnie made her way out of the club and was waiting outside for her ride to pick her up that she had arranged only ten minutes ago she she knew she wouldn't be waiting out in the cold for too long, while she was on her phone and occasionally glancing up to see if her ride had appeared she felt a presence beside her and when she looked to her right she saw George standing beside her.
