Stacy, Adrian and Marine were all in the kitchen worried about Jaden and Jordan
S- I hope they're okay
A- Can Jaden take on that many soldiers?
M- I hope so...
S- Mom why didn't you tell Jaden the truth about his mother?
M- I was afraid he'd go out to find her to make amends. She wants him dead only for her riches
Just then they hear a knock at the front door
Adrian answers to see Jaden covered in blood and Jordan wrapped up in a blanket
A- Jaden...
J- take Jordan please
Adrian picks Jordan up and Jaden walks inside
J- I'm going to take a shower
Jaden leaves the room
A- Jordan what happened?
Jo- I don't know all I heard was screaming...
Adrian went pale and felt sick to his stomach
Stacy takes Jordan to his room so he can get cleaned up

Jaden was in the shower trying to to relax his nerves and wash off all the blood
He closed his eyes and the memories of the tower came flooding back
The screams the cries the pleas the begging of mercy blood guts teeth bone all crushed under his feet the rage that fueled his fire all of it repeated over and over again play by play in his head
Jaden opens his eyes and turns off the shower he then slides the shower door open and grabs his towel
Jordan walked into Jaden's room
Jo- Jaden?
J- I'm in the bathroom Jordan
Jordan peaks through to see Jaden's back covered in scars
Jaden turns around and Jordan climbs onto Jaden's bed
Jaden opens the door and sees Jordan sitting on the edge of the bed
J- you okay?
Jo- yeah...I'm okay...are you?
J- ......yeah......
Jaden sits down next to Jordan and Jordan hugs him
J- you should get some sleep
Jo- can I sleep with you?
J- of course
Jordan lays his head on Jaden's chest and falls asleep
Jaden begins to remember the day they first met

Jaden was sitting in the living room watching TV with his siblings and his mother
When they hear a knock at the front door
S- huh? It's twelve o'clock who could be at the door at this hour?
A- I'll answer it
They all hop up from the couch and walk towards the front door
Adrian opens to see a little boy with curly brown hair and big blue eyes
A- um hello are you lost?
Jo- hello my name is Jordan...I'm really hungry and....thirsty....can I come in please
A- of course
They gave Jordan something to eat and a glass of water
S- where are your parents?
A- how did you get here?
M- more food?
Em- do you like Barbies?
J- guys stop you're confusing him
Jaden goes up to Jordan and kneels down to his level
J- where are your parents?
Jo- I don't have any parents...I don't have anyone....I have nowhere to go....I'm cold...
Jaden goes upstairs and grabs a blanket and puts it around Jordan
J- you can stay here if you want I'll take care of you
Jo- you will?
J- I promise

Jaden looks over at Jordan and kisses him on his head
Jo- I love you Jaden...
J- I love you too Jordan...
Jordan grabs onto Jaden and they fall asleep together
Jaden always slept better with Jordan
