Abduction Failed

Before they began making their way back to the Hashira, Midoriya called for them all to stop. It was for two reasons. The first was to get answers.

"Tanjiro, Kanao, Zenitsu, Nezuko, Inosuke, Aoi, Genya, Muichiro... what are you? When we were fighting Muscular, Tanjiro said he was a Demon Slayer. What are they?" Midoroya asked.

"D-demon Slayers? Is that how you were able to k-kill the DemoNomu, Kanao?" Uraraka asked.

"You told them you were a Demon Slayer?" Zenitsu asked, having woken up after Dark Shadow stopped rampaging.

"So? I don't see the big deal!" Inosuke said.

"It was supposed to be secret. But I suppose the situation deemed it necessary to reveal what we are," Muichiro said.

"Wait, then... all of you..." Midoriya said, realizing all of them were probably Demon Slayers.

Tanjiro walked over to Midoriya. He bashfully asked Shoji to lower himself so he could talk face to face with Midoriya. Once they were on an even level, Tanjiro put his hands on Midoriya's shoulders.

"Listen, I promise, we will answer any questions you have, but right now, we have to get out of this forest," he said with a gentle smile on his face.

Midoriya held Tanjiro's sincere gaze. After a little while, he sighed and nodded his head.

"Then are we going back to Mr. Aizawa or the Wild Wild Pussycats?" Midoriya asked.

"It sounds like most of the Hashira and the rest of the students are going back to Aizawa. I think we should go back to Aizawa," Zenitsu said.

"Then I suppose we should get to Aizawa too," Kanao said.

"Just so long as we steer clear of the fire and weird smoke. My senses tell me we don't want to go through it," Inosuke said.

"Don't worry. With my sense of smell, we'll avoid it easily. I'll lead us out of here. Inosuke, can you bring up the rear?" Tanjiro said.

"What?! I'm the boss! You're my underlings!"

"Of course. You'll be able to keep us all safe if you are at the back, making sure no one disappears."

"Hm... now that you say it, that's not a bad idea!"

"Zenitsu, you can be between us, and so can everyone else. Remember, Bakugo and Midoriya are the targets. The first priority is making sure they aren't captured."

"Wait, one more question: can you tell us what you are?" Midoriya asked.

The Demon Slayers looked at each other.

"Well, it's a long story. And it's a story that your classmates are going to want to be around to hear, too," Nezuko said.

"Can you give us a simplified version of it?" Todoroki asked.

"Even a simplified explanation is an explanation everyone should hear. The full reasoning is just that unbelievable," Muichiro said.

"What can you tell us then?" Tokoyami asked.

"Well... I guess we can tell you guys about our... quirks," Genya said.

They all began walking as a group toward the building Aizawa was at. As they walked, they did indeed disclose their "quirks" to them. It was an incredible shock to all of them that they were all Quirkless. They were also shocked that all of their strength came from how they breathed. They almost thought that they had to be joking. There was no way just breathing right could make someone stronger.

Around not even a quarter of the way there, Inosuke called for everyone to stop. Zenitsu could hear exactly why. And Tanjiro just now could smell it. They were being followed. Inosuke, Tanjiro, and Zenitsu turned in the direction they could sense the follower.
