Chapter Thirty-Three

A FEW DAYS HAS PASSED.

- THIRD POV -

At the MIKAELSON COMPOUND, in Klaus's and Christy's sunny bedroom, Klaus looks at all of his personal canvas paintings of Christy and the outfits and gown that she wore. Each one he painted throughout his visits with her at Mount Orasani.

And now, that she is a wanted fugitive on the run, Klaus doesn't know when she will return back home.

The only contact Klaus has with Christy is by video chat, a phone, laptop, Christy's crystal prism, and letters.

Becoming agitated, Klaus throws his half empty drinking glass of bourbon at the wall, which shatters.

Klaus sits down upright against his bed and gently runs his hand in his hair.

An envelope magically appears in mid-air. Klaus looks up at it and gently takes it in his hand.

Klaus opens the envelope and takes out a letter from Christy and unfolds it.

Dear Klaus,

I know you and I are separated from each other due to me being a wanted fugitive, but we can still communicate with each other. I miss you, our daughters, and everyone else. I know right now you're feeling lonely without me and you just want to let it out. I get it. You can always visit the temple if you want. And maybe, you and I can have a date when all of this bullshit is over. I love you, Honey. Never ever forget that. I will call you or video chat later.

P.S. I've just been informed from Theseus that Takeshi's case against me has been dropped, which is somewhat good news if it is. But I'm not out of trouble just yet. Just wanted to let you know. I love you, Klaus.

After reading his wife's, letter, Klaus gently wipes a tear from his cheek and just sits there.

HOME ISLAND OF MOUNT ORASANI -- THRONE ROOM

Later that day, using the octagon shaped teleporter device, Klaus steps inside the throne room where Nadia and Theseus are.

"Is it true? Takeshi's case against Christy has been dropped?" Klaus asked.

"Yes, it is true, Klaus." Nadia said to her son-in-law. "How did you know?"

And Klaus shows his mother-in-law, Christy's opened envelope with the folded letter inside.

"Christy told me through her letter." Klaus told her his mother-in-law. "And yet, she is still a wanted fugitive."

"I am working on that." Theseus said.

"You know, Lou and his gang of henchmen is in New Orleans." Klaus said.

Nadia glances at Theseus. "Theseus, leave us, please?"

"Yes, Milady." Theseus said with a bow and walks away, walking out of the throne room.
