"Heaven says You are in danger"
Run.
The word repeated itself like a mantra in his head. His legs were moving on their own, taking fast steps away from his hunter. The trees were whispering secrets while a fog built up all around the man. Droplets of sweat fell to the ground, his hands moving on their own, his pants raged and uncontrolled.
He didn't know what was hunting him. It must be something because the monster moved at incredulous speed, branches of the trees it landed on immediately breaking off and falling to the ground with a thud.
His feet scrunched the grass, no time to sneak around if he wanted to survive.
The sound of his predator grew louder, and louder and louder...
Until devastating silence greeted upon his ears.
It was louder than any scream he had heard, filling his heartbeat with more adrenaline.
He didn't dare to look behind him, nor did he dare to stop in his tracks.
Out of all the dumb things he had done, he was sure that it was the best decision he was making in this situation. His fists were hitting the air with every second he ran while his endurance was fading little by little.
Eyes were staring at him. He could feel them all over his back.
Goosebumps spread through his entire body, his eyes widening at the sudden chill air.
Something was wrong, thought he.
Some steps further, claws started to dig into his flesh, ripping his skin apart as he was forced to stop.
The pain was unbearable to every human being.
Something started to crawl into his raw flesh, going further until they reached his heart.
The man felt fear, his whole life flashing by in his naked eye as he supressed the scream he wanted to let out. He could feel those inhuman creatures mixed with his own veins, slowly eating his inner flesh up, crawling and crawling.
Until they stopped.
He didn't know what to expect from his hunter. He hadn't even noticed how he was lying on the ground as he slowly pushed his head up. His eyes twitched once, twice, before they dared to look up at what was hunting him.
Black eyes stared right back at him through the red dots the scary mask had on its surface. They were looking right through him, so unsettling that he was sure that those weren't the eyes of a person.
They were the ones of a monster.
"Tell me everything you know about the traitor of UA"
The voice made him flinch. He knew by it that there was no mercy he could expect. There was no way out.
A low grunt could be heard as he tried to think straight, the pain in his chest growing with every second he wasted.
"I've already asked many people and as far as I'm concerned, your wife was one of them. I know her location. If you don't comply, then you'll never see her again"
His face morphed into one of terror as he started to process the words, fear for his lover aching in the depths of his heart as he unbelievably looked at the monster in front of him, menacingly looking down at him.
"You wouldn't...I'VE SEEN YOU ON THE NEWS. AREN'T YOU A HERO?"
"I never said I was a hero. Just because I save lives it doesn't mean that I can't take them. What's your answer?"
