We quickly made our way into town. There was no going anywhere with the hero, but with a bit of persuasion, the crowd of people allowed us to enjoy our day as Hercules signed autographs now and again to have the people leave us alone. As Hercules was signing his autograph, Meg pulled me aside.

"So what do you think Wonderboy would like to do besides play with his fans?"

"Hmm, well, I can grab a bite to eat. Do you know any good spots nearby?"

Meg is surprised you're unfamiliar with the area, even though you've lived with Hercules for quite some time.

"What are you asking me for? Aren't you the local here?"

Scratching the back of my head while looking back at Hercules, Meg is just puzzled, waiting for an answer.

"Hehe, I don't leave the villa when we're there. Hercules thinks it's too dangerous for me to be out. I don't blame him."

"Yeah, but still, don't you get all cramped in there?"

"Oh no, sometimes he takes me with him, but lately, he's been letting me stay behind in the villa."

"You know you sound crazy, right?"

"Says the one whose soul is owned by the god of the underworld."

Meg is horrified. He breaks out into a cold sweat. How do you know he's working with Hades? When did you find out? Does Hercules know? He's slowly starting to panic. It wasn't evident on his face, but he was gripping the sides of his toga, his knuckle turning white.

'Shit!'

Noticing this, I snap my fingers in front of his face. I placed my hands on his shoulders.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, Meg, it's okay."

He then snapped back and grabbed me by the shoulders, turning me around so his back was facing Hercules, so his expression of worry wouldn't be seen. He harshly whispers, trying to keep a calm tone.

"How did you? Why do you, does Wonderboy know?"

"I saw you with Hades when Hercules killed the hydra."

It was a lie, but this lie had some truth: Meg belonged to Hades. Snapping him back, I grabbed his hands from my shoulders, intertwining our fingers, hoping this would convince him. I was not a threat, so I looked into his eyes.

"Look, it doesn't matter right now. Today's supposed to be a day of fun. Now stop being such a stick in the mud and enjoy your day."

Meg eventually calms down after your little speech, and he breathes a weak breath. He ultimately gives a small smile

"I don't know whether or not you're insane or stupid."

"Why not both?"

"Hey! Sorry guys, I should be good to go now. Hm? Did something happen?"
