We are guided to our seats, and unsurprisingly. We had our private box at the front of the stage. We sat down, waiting for the play to start. I still felt a little uneasy after what happened. Hercules looked down, and Meg looked at Hercules. Meg puts his shoulder on mine, scooting me closer to Hercules himself.
"Feel a little better?"
I looked at the floor and smiled, thankfully, and nodded
"Mhm, thank you. It helps."
"Good, that's what we're here for."
Hercules was still watching the encounter. That's when Meg looked up at him. They both held eye contact, and Meg nudged his head to the side, slightly signaling Hercules, but he was innocent and clueless and did not know what to do. Meg rolled his eyes, gently picked up his hand, and draped it around Meg and (y/n).
"Uh... yeah! What Meg said."
Hercules, being bashful but not hating what Meg's done, has a goofy smile; enjoying the affection and time out with the two people he favors the most, he lets out a goofy giggle.
(Y/n), Hercules and Meg get comfy and wait for the play to begin. (Y/n) still having troubling thoughts about the experience, decides to ignore it and enjoy the play and not cause any trouble. Today was supposed to be fun, not drama. Little does she know, the two men with her are being watched by a cloaked figure at the top of the stairs. The play begins, ceasing the crowd's noise and gaining their attention to the story that's about to unfold.
Time skip
The play was over, and we were going through the garden in Hercules villa, reminiscing on the day we had just had. Even though it didn't go according to plan, it was still fun. We were at the top of the stairs, going down to the reflection pool, and other statues.
"Ahaha! Haa, wow, what a day. First, the restaurant by the bay, and then that, that Oedipus thing. Man! I thought I had problems."
Meg laughs nervously, knowing that the day has ended, and he must complete what Hades sent him to do. He looks at me nervously. I shrug my shoulders. I don't know how to help, and I don't have any powers. What does he expect me to do besides keep his secret? Deflated, he sighed while Hercules was distracted and looking at the night sky. He is happy that he got to spend the whole day with his two favorite people.
"Hey, if it's OK with you guys, I'm going to head back to the villa."
Quickly, they both turn around and do not like the idea of you being alone. I just crossed my arms and gave them a stern look.
"What? I'm just going back to get some rest. I'm tired after the long day we had."
Meg tried to rebuttal, but I couldn't back down. I was tired and had already wanted to go to sleep.
"Yeah, But what..."
"No but, I'm not a baby, so stop fussing over me like one."
"Remember, what happened when you left us earlier?"
I roll my eyes at Hercules' inquisition.
"Yes, and that was when we were out of the house. We're home. I'll be fine. You to go and have Bro time."
Before they could question me any further, I turned around and took my leave, but before leaving their view, I turned back and blew a kiss at them.
"Good night, boys."
Leaving Meg and Hercules's cheeks just stayed in a rose blush. Walking away, I see two birdies fluttering, landing on the birdbath beside the man. I slowly leave, wanting to relax in a nice warm bed. It takes a while to get back home due to how large the property sizes are and how far we are out. I'm not even halfway there when I encounter a cloaked figure. I stop, not knowing what to do, waiting for the other person. They say nothing, and I finally gather the courage to question them.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?"
Nothing.
"You need to leave this property now. Do you know who this belongs to, don't you?"
The figure then started to laugh, and that's when I could recognize it was a woman who had a husky laugh. Sweat began to line my forehead, and my breathing became unsteady as the figure slowly approached me.
"Get the fuck back!"
I slowly started to walk backward; each step, the figure took closer, and then the blink of an eye. They disappear from my site quickly. I look around the whole area in front of me, to the left, right, and behind, but there's nothing there. I blink again, and the cloaked figure is in my face, paralyzed by the being in front of me. I can only let out a whisper
"w-what do you want?"
The figure then revealed itself, taking off its hood, showing it was the same fortuneteller I had encountered earlier in the day, my blood running cold.
"I-it you!"
'How did is she here? Why is she here? What does she want?!'
As I was about to scream for Hercules and Meg or somebody to come to save me, she waved her hand in front of my mouth, and I couldn't speak; I couldn't make a sound. I stared at her, scared, wide-eyed. Slowly, my body started to tremble, and I did not know what to do. She only giggled at my fear.
"Hahaha, you amuse me. I am not here to harm you."
That was believable. Tell that to the bruises on my wrist. I glare at her, even though my body will not listen to me, telling it to move and get away, run or something; still unable to speak, the fortuneteller carries on.
"I am here to inform you that not everything is what it seems."
I don't know what she's trying to tell me, and I look at her questionably. She then backs up, giving me breathing room, eerily and smiling. She snaps her fingers letting restraint on my mouth.
"What the fuck is that supposed to mean? You can't just show up out of nowhere, tell me some useless information, and not explain it!"
Her smile gets wider at my statement.
"It is not useless information; if that's what you see, then so be it."
With that, the same smell of herbs and oils slowly emitted into the air, and smoke flooded from underneath her cloak, spreading like a miasma and creating A swamp of fog between us. I could do nothing but cough and cough.
"Ehehehe! Ehehehe!"
I heard laughter from the older woman, and slowly, she started to faint until I could no longer listen to her, stuck in a coughing fit from the vapor. I could only sit and hack my lungs out while inhaling the herbs and oils she had left behind. I started to get dizzy and lightheaded.
"Cough! Cough! cough!"
I did not want to bash my head onto the floor from my dizziness. I crouched slowly, lying on the floor, trying to catch my breath. You're doing so. I could feel myself slowly fainting. I tried to stay awake, but it was useless. My eyelids were heavy, and soon, I drifted into slumber in the middle of the garden.
"Well, what do we have here."
With the unconscious woman defenseless in the garden, a particular God was picked and decided to use his situation to his benefit as he created fumes of smoke, lifting her and gently carrying her in his arms as he spoke; the two transporting them not too far.
