A sense of comfort

Jewel's POV: I am sitting in the music room with my father Luke; listening to him sing and play his guitar; joining in at times depending on the song he is playing and if I know the song or not and I am starting to feel better. Every time I am in the music room and my father is playing his guitar and singing one of the many songs he knows. There is a sense of comfort, and I forget about the feelings I am battling with, when my father plays his guitar and sings, I always cheer up.

Looks like someone is feeling better Sierra says to her daughter Jewel causing Luke to stop playing and singing and causing them to turn around seeing her standing in the opening of the music room with a smile on her face with her arms folded. So, your father must've cheered you up sweetheart; she says walking into the room and sitting in the armchair that was by the door.

Hey honey, what do you need? Luke asks his wife Sierra to see what she needed help with before strumming on his guitar and him looking at Jewel and smiling because he noticed that his daughter was feeling better as well. Jewel, I am glad that you are feeling better. Looks like I cheered you up. He says kissing his daughter on the forehead and putting his guitar on its stand and then hugging her, I love you baby girl. No matter what. You're going to be okay, there is someone out there for you. Don't lose hope, you will have your happily ever after. Right now, just focus on yourself and better yourself and when the time comes; your Prince Charming will come to you; just like what happened to your mom and me.

Jewel, your father is right. We both had our share of heartbreak before we found each other. It's all a part of life and relationships, you'll see that as you get older. I'll put it this way you'll kiss several frogs before you find the frog that will become your Prince Charming, putting it in a Princess and the frog movie reference because it is one of your favorite Princess movies. There is no need to jump in headfirst into a relationship right now, you have a future that is bright and when your Prince Charming finds you, you would be happy; right now, just focus on you and bettering yourself, you'll be thankful that you did. Sierra says to her daughter, getting up from the chair she was sitting in and walking over to the couch, kissing her on the cheek and hugging her as well.

Thanks, mom, and dad. I love the both of you so much and I am grateful to have my parents in my life, helping me with the obstacles that I am battling with. I feel better that the both of you are in my corner. I have the greatest parents ever. And I wouldn't take you for granted; I will always remember the both of you, no matter what. I am glad to be your daughter, and I know that my future children will be glad that you're their grandparents but until then I am going to focus on finishing school and starting my life after high school. No matter what happens I will always be thankful for my parents. She says to her mom, and dad giving them one more hug.

Sierra, our daughter is truly incredible. We did so, well raising her. Jewel is going to grow up into a lovely, strong, and caring woman. And I am truly blessed that we get to watch her grow up into a beautiful woman. He says to his wife, kissing her passionately on her lips.

Luke, I'm about to start cooking dinner and I need my Sous Chef. She says to her husband Luke before making her way to the kitchen to make dinner and then looking at her daughter Jewel and asking her what time her best friend Alexis would be coming over to visit her, so she would have time to clean up the kitchen and the dining area before Alexis arrived at their house to visit Jewel for a little while, before she needed to leave so, they could get ready for their next day of school.

Alexis won't be coming over until after we finish eating dinner. That is what she texted me. She was eating dinner before we texted each other. She says to her mom Sierra. I'm going to have a shower and put my jumpsuit on and wait for dinner to be ready, then i am going to grab my Nintendo switch lite and play some animal crossing: New Horizon's. My homework is complete and ready for me to turn into my teachers tomorrow. Just let me know when dinner is ready, and I'll come downstairs. She says to her mother Sierra before going upstairs to the bathroom and grabbing her things, so she could take her shower and checking her calendar and seeing that her period was coming tomorrow.

Thanks for letting me know, do you need anything else sweetie? She asks her daughter Jewel before grabbing all the ingredients for the recipe that she was making for dinner tonight while giving Luke his instructions for his job as her Sous Chef. Starting to prep the first ingredient for the recipe they were cooking. 

Yes. Do we have any more of those Ginger lollipops? And mom, do you have any overnight pads? I just checked my calendar and I'm due for my period tomorrow. I just checked my stash, and I am out of pads, and I am out of Advil. There is a fifty percent chance that I'm going to start feeling moody tonight. I just thought that I would let you know, so you and dad won't be surprised if I start snapping at the both of you. Tomorrow will be that time of the month that I dread. She says to her mom Sierra letting her know that she is going to need some products.

Jewel, I think so, but I can't check right now. I'm in the middle of cooking dinner. Honey, can you check the pantry and see if we still have those Ginger lollipops, and do you mind going into the bathroom cabinet and checking if I have any overnight pads for Jewel? She is due for her period tomorrow. I'll keep an eye on the water for the rice. She says to her husband Luke before putting the chopped veggies and herbs in a pan to sauté them, before adding the meat to the pan with the veggies in it.

Yes, I can do that. He says to his wife Sierra before stepping away from the stove and going to the pantry first and heading to the bathroom to check the cabinet.
