Jewel's POV: It's 5:00 in the morning and my alarm just went off, I woke up to feeling nauseous. I was sitting on the toilet handling my business when I suddenly started vomiting , getting it on my bathroom floor, I missed my garbage can and before I can grab it, another round of vomit comes shooting up my throat like a fast freight train and reappears on my bathroom floor joining the puddle. upon this commotion my mom Sierra comes rushing into my bathroom with my dad Luke not far behind and sees the mess I am making causing her to immediately grab my garbage can and hands it to me before another round of vomit happens.
Luke, stay where you are. Don't come into the bathroom. She says to her husband Luke, noticing that her daughter was sitting on the toilet still. Not wanting him to come into the bathroom and see his daughter's areas until she was covered. Sweetheart, what's wrong? She asks her daughter Jewel, still rubbing her back as she vomited into the garbage can.
Mom, I don't feel good. I woke up feeling nauseous and feeling bloated and gassy and then I started vomiting. Which explains the mess on my bathroom floor. My stomach is in knots, and it hurts as well. She explains to her mom Sierra, finally not vomiting anymore. I'm so, tired. She says to her mom Sierra.
Sweetheart, is it your period? Sierra asks her daughter Jewel noticing that she was crouching while sitting on the toilet still, her hands wrapped around her stomach and a stray tear falling down her cheek from her eyes.
Yes, but I have never vomited with my period before. When I would normally get my period, I would only feel extremely nauseous but wouldn't throw up, my cramps are starting to kick in and they are intense right now. I think that I might throw up again. She says to her mom leaning over her garbage can, vomiting again from her period cramps.
Sierra, what's going on in there? He asks his wife, trying to figure out why he couldn't go into his daughter's bathroom to help tend to Jewel.
Luke, Jewel threw up on her bathroom floor while she was on the toilet handling her business and it's a bit of a mess in her bathroom, do you think that you can grab Jewel a ginger ale or something; she just got her period today and her cramps are already at its worse. She is cramping bad, and she hasn't stopped throwing up. I'm also going to need your help with the cleanup, only if you can handle it. She says to her husband Luke before checking if Jewel was feeling better and then feeling her forehead for a fever.
Sierra, I can handle it. I'll check if there is anything for Jewel that would help calm her stomach down; What do you need me to bring up with me to the bathroom? He says to his wife Sierra before grabbing some old towels and finding anything else they would need to clean up vomit and making his way upstairs with a bottle of ginger ale and some medicine for his daughter's period cramps and something for her to nibble on before she took the pills. Sweetie, I have the cleaning products and some old towels that can be thrown out in the garbage and something for Jewel.
Thanks, Luke. Can you come into the bathroom and put the old towels on the floor on top of the puddle of throw up, we need to get it cleaned up asap. When you come into the bathroom don't look at Jewel, please. She is still sitting on the toilet, but the good thing is that she finally stopped vomiting and is just dry heaving now. She says to her husband Luke, reminding him to wear rubber gloves.
Okay, I'm about to come into the bathroom and put the old towels down and wipe up the vomit, just a heads up. He says getting ready to walk into his daughter Jewel's bathroom. Jewel, are you covered? He says before walking into the bathroom fully and then putting the old towels on top of the puddle and wiping it up with the rubber gloves that were on his hands and then putting them in the trash bag he brought to the bathroom with him and then sprinkling baking soda on the area where it he wiped the vomit up. I'm going to let the baking soda sit for 15-30 minutes and then vacuum it up. He says to his wife Sierra doing exactly what he was saying before leaving his daughter Jewel's bathroom that is in her bedroom.
Thanks sweetheart, I'll mop the bathroom floor and clean Jewel's bathroom trash can. Do you think that you can make a one percent bleach solution, so, I can mop the floor where the baking soda was? because as soon as you vacuum the baking soda up, I must mop the floor as soon as possible.
Sierra, to be honest; I think that I got the quantities right but I'm not sure. How long has the baking soda been on the bathroom floor? It's supposed to sit on the spot for 15-30 minutes. I regret not setting a timer, we also have some disinfectant that we can spray on the floor and then mop up. He says to his wife.
Luke, Sweetie to be honest I hadn't been paying any attention at all because I am still trying to see if Jewel, has a fever with her period. I think that she should stay home from school today, she is feeling terrible, and she does have a low-grade fever and she has been throwing up, I just think that would be better. She explains to her husband Luke.
Mom, I am so tired. I want to go back to sleep but I have school today and I must turn in my homework from last night, but I just feel lousy right now. She says to her mom Sierra while she washes her hands after putting a pad on and flushing the toilet after she got off the toilet.
Jewel, darling; I really think that you should stay home from school today, you look terrible and you are sluggish plus you have a low-grade fever with your period and I really think that it would be best if you are feeling sleepy as well, I think that you need to miss school.
