Later that night, Khloe was sound asleep in her bed with her sage green sheets and blankets wrapped around her
A sudden shaking of her shoulder awoke her and she opened her eyes to find Luke standing beside her bed
Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she sat up confusedly "Luke? What's wrong?"
She had sudden flashbacks to when she was a five year old girl, back in her fathers house when her little half siblings would wake her up in the middle of the night
"Sorry for waking you, i was just wondering if you wanted to go on the roof and talk, just like old times" He whispered, careful to not wake up the others around them
She instantly felt more awake from his words as a wide smile spread across her face "Yeah, of course"
She was still shaken up from his outburst at her earlier but she couldn't take up that offer
He grinned "Come on then. Be quiet, i don't want to wake anyone up" He passed her one of his sweatshirts he brought for her "It's a little cold outside, so i thought you would want to wear something to warm up"
"Thank you" She threw it on and stood up from her bed "Alright, let's go"
The two silently tip toed through the Aphrodite cabin, it was incredibly easy for Khloe considering it was her cabin and she was small and lighter on her feet. Luke had a slightly harder time, stepping on the creakiest floor boards
Luke quietly opened the cabin door and made sure to now allow any moonlight to filter inside the cabin. Once he saw that the coast was clear, the two snuck and walked around the back of the Hermes cabin
A black tarp covered the entirety of the rear, but Luke easily pulled it down
A ladder was hidden underneath and the boy motioned for the girl to go first "After you"
She flashed him a smile and made her way up the ladder before taking a seat on the edge of the roof. Luke soon joined her and they both let their feet dangle over the edge
The moon was shining brightly, its moonlight casting a beautiful glow over the camp. The stars were glittering brightly above and Khloe couldn't help, but stare at it in awe
"I wanted to apologize again for the way i treated you earlier at practice" Luke said, dragging Khloe's attention away from the sky
She exhaled deeply "I know"
He turned to look at her, disappointment lidded behind his brown eyes "If i ever yell at you like that or treat you like shit again, you better beat my ass to the ground. I don't want you to accept that crap from anyone, do you understand?"
Luke was part of the reason why Khloe was so tough. He set the standard bar real high and it's been that way ever since they met
Khloe nodded her head. She knew that he was upset with himself for how he treated her earlier, but now, she could see that he was disappointed in himself. And it upset her to know that
She sighed, his eyes still boring into hers "Come here" He opened his arms and she fell into his loving embrace, leaning her weight against him "Your my little sister, and you always will be"
A comfortable silence engulfed the two, leaving Khloe to dwell on her earlier worries concerning her older brother
"Luke?" She whispered out softly
