Bruno Fernandes' Point of View
8th September 2024
It's been quite a while since that incident happened. Actually, it's been over a month. It's been that long that it's my birthday today actually. But it probably isn't the best birthday I ever had. It's my 30th, but we're in UEFA Nations League at the moment, which means I have to mentally survive the Portugese squad today. I sighed as I entered the building. I wandered down the halls until I found myself right outside the dressingroom. Suddenly I felt a hand gently dragging me away from the door. My eyes was met by Diogo Dalot, and for a second I thought something bad was about to happen, until I saw the expression on his face. Pure guilt filled his eyes as he stared into my eyes. "I'm so so sorry. I- I really didn't know that it was THIS bad. If I knew they would talk that way about you, a- and do those kind of things, I would have never been so chilled out about accedentliy telling everyone. Is there any chance that you can ever forgive me?" he asked, looking and sounding really regretful and worried. I suddenly felt worried for the fact that HE looked so worried. "Wh- what happened?" I asked feeling worried. "I just... I heard some things they were saying about you yesterday, and I... I just... I just realised how bad a friend I was... and... how horrible some of these people are... I'm so sorry." he apologised again, me noticing just then that he looked like he had been crying, and he looked like he was going to again. "Hey hey hey, it's okay. You couldn't have known they'd be like this." I said, gently hugging the slightly taller Portugese. "I feel so horrible for it. Can you forgive me?" he asked sadly. "Of course, it's okay." I said reassuring him. "Yeah?" he asked still looking sad. "Yeah. And uhh," I said. "sorry about when Marcus hit you, you know how impulsive he is. He was just mad." I said with a little laugh. "Yeah it's okay, I deserved it." he said with a small smile, yet still a sad expression on his face. We pulled out of the hug, locking eyes again. "What is it with you and Marcus anyway? He's been weird around you lately." Diogo asked. "I don't know, I've noticed it too. I don't know what's going on with him. He seems really, like... protective." I said. "Yeah, I don't know. Ask him next time you see him." he said, looking less sad over this topic. "Yeah, I will." I said. "So, you do forgive me?" he asked for fivehundreth time. "Yes. And don't worry about it, they had to know at one point anyways." I said, trying to calm the younger one down. "Okay... thank you." he thanked me. "No problem." I said with a smile. After that talk we went into the dressingroom, where even more chaos was about to unfold.
