The rain never stopped falling, a relentless curtain of gray that cloaked the world in shadows. I used to find solace in its rhythm, the way it muffled the noise of my thoughts and wrapped me in a cocoon of solitude. But now, the rain felt different—threatening, almost sinister.
It began with a letter. The envelope was plain, but the message inside was anything but ordinary. “I see you, even when the world does not.” The words seemed to echo through my empty house, their meaning twisting in my mind.
I tried to dismiss it, but the letters kept coming, each one more personal, more intrusive. And then, one night, I saw him. A shadow standing just beyond the edge of the street, watching me with eyes I couldn’t see but felt piercing through the darkness. My heart raced with fear and an unsettling fascination.
The rain beats against the windows now, a constant reminder of the danger closing in. He knows where I am. He’s always watching, waiting for the right moment to step out of the shadows and claim what he believes is his.
No matter how I try to escape, nothing will stop him. And the darkness he brings is only just beginning to unfold.
