Can I haunt you?

I want to haunt you, but in ways that would not have you frightened of me. I want to remain by your side. I want to follow you with each step you take. I wish to make your home my home as well. I want us to be inseparable, to never be torn apart. When you close your eyes; there's only you and me. When I haunt you, I settle in. Can I be your only ghost that perambulates your halls?
