Part I - hidden? Not quite

"Hey."

Fuck
Fuck fuck fuck.

It was barely a whisper
Almost inaudible
Almost.
But not quite.
Though that still wouldn't have changed much.

Those lips

They had stroked against your ear.
Mocking you for your foolishness.
Sending chills down your spine.
Making your eyes widen in horror.
One question echoing in your mind;

How had he found you?

You were hidden so well.
Your figure mixing with the shadows
Until you were nothing more than a faint silhouette.

But you were a fool to think that that could scare off a bloodthirsty hound.

For that was what he was.
He'd be able to find anything—anyone—anywhere.
It'd been carved into your head ever since you first arrived.

You clenched your fingers, the soft swirls of a leather handle giving you at least a bit of reassurance.

Right – your dagger

Crafted by an exceptional bladesmith
covered all over with an infinite amount of details.
You hadn't planned on actually using it.

Yet here you were.

Gathering every bit of bravery,
You turned.
His face greeting you.

A pretty—pretty despicable—one.

He was calm, way too calm for your liking.
He had this look in his eyes,
that made you wonder
just how many people he's killed.

(And this...)

Grin.

That made you realise
he's probably lost count.

"What the fuck?" Your voice wasn't quite as steady as you'd hoped for it to be.
Perhaps you needed to show him that you weren't completely helpless.

Though it's not really him that needs convincing, is it?

You drew your dagger, trying not to give away just how scared you were. You had no chance really—he was armoured to the teeth—but you wouldn't go down without a fight. That he could count on.

(But...)

His grin only widened.
This was all a fun little play to him.
And he was the game master.

"Ouch, that's not how you welcome a guest." He placed one hand on his heart, dipping his head in played sorrow. "Love, I won't kill you."

You scoffed. "Then get out of my fucki-"

"Pleased to meet you too," he took your hand, but you pulled back before he could place a kiss on it. His grin faltered just a bit, though he caught himself almost immediately. "Follow me. I've got something to show you."
You stared at him. Who was he to order you around? You'd make sure to give him a piece of your mind once you got the chance.

"It better be a damn good 'something' then."

You were met with silence. He was already halfway out of the tunnel you'd been hiding in.

Great.
