The next few weeks were a rollercoaster. I had been trying my hardest to convince my friends that Enzo was a nice person. The sweetest boy I'd ever met.Enzo, on the other hand, hung out with me daily. It felt as though we were 10 again, playing tag in his yard. Except, we weren't. We were both 17 , now, sitting by the Black Lake.
"Mum would always speak about you." Enzo said randomly. I smiled. "Yeah.. dad speaks lot about you too." I shrugged. "Good things?" He asked.
I smiled awkwardly. He rolled his eyes, falling back in the grass. "He's always hated me." He sighed. I rolled my eyes. "He doesn't hate you. He's just always assumed you liked me— and well, I liked you back." I explained, he turned to face me."Do you?" He asked softly. "Do I what?" I asked. "Like me?" He asked again, catching me off guard. I looked back at the lake. "You wish, Berkshire." I laugh. He scoffs, laughing a little. "I am a very likable person." He protested. "Right." I rolled my eyes.
"You know what I missed the most?" He spoke again, grinning at me. My smile drops as I glare at him. "Don't you dare, Enzo." I warn, trying to stand up as he sits up. He mocks my words, pulling me in by my wrist, starting to tickle me.
I laugh hard, trying to push him off. But his grip on me was tight. "Say it." He says, still tickling me. "Say what?!" I yelp between laughs, making him chuckle again. "Say that I am a very likable person." He says, slowing down. "Absolutely not." I roll my eyes as he fastens his pace again. I think I almost screamed.
"Okay, okay! You're a very likable person!" I pant as he finally lets go, breaking out into laughter. I glare at him with a smile still on my mouth. I missed this.
I didn't realize how close we were until I felt his breath on my neck. "Uhm.." I whisper as he leans in slightly. "Celia." I quickly pull away, my head snapping up in direction of the sound. "Ron. Hi." I swallow, quickly standing up before wiping the grass off my skirt.
Enzo remains seated in the ground, glaring at Ron. "If you're done.. doing whatever it was you were doing with Berkshire.." he mutters. I glare at him. "Nothing was happening." I huff. "It didn't seem like nothing, Cici." Enzo says blandly as I stare at him in annoyance.
"Whatever. Ginny was looking for you." Ron mutters, starting to walk away. "Tell her I said hey." Enzo yells. Ron looked as if he was going to pounce on Enzo. Nevertheless, he walked away. "Seriously?" I sigh, staring at Enzo. "What? I just said hey." He shrugged. I rolled my eyes. "Bye, Enzo." I sigh. "Goodbye, Cici." He says, dragging the word as I leave the lake.

Lorenzo Berkshire POV:
I walked back towards the Slytherin dormitories, my mind racing with thoughts of her. How close we were.. more than that, her laughs. Her smile. Her eyes.. I could drown in them. The blonde hair which falls on her shoulder, everything about her."There he is!" I heard Theo's voice as I looked up. "We were just talking about you." He added to which I nodded my head, taking a seat on the couch beside Blaise. "And Cici." Draco coughed as I snapped my eyes in his direction. Blaise let out a laugh.
"What about her?" I asked. "It's crazy how a filthy half-breed can get The Lorenzo Berkshire so whipped." He hummed, avoiding my question. I rolled my eyes, trying to ignore the remark myself. "What are you on about, Malfoy?" I sighed. "In simpler terms, we think you're finally in love." Theo responded before Draco could.
"Enzo? In love? That's a day I never thought I'd live to see." Blaise huffed causing the other two to laugh. "I am not in love." I sneered, glaring at Draco who stared back at me with an eyebrow raised. "Aren't you?" He spoke lowly. What was his deal? "You out of all of these people know how things are at home." I whispered while Blaise and Theo engaged in a different conversation.
Draco's smirk faltered for only a moment before he regained it. "I've heard the 'mommy and daddy break up' story countless times." He scoffed. I clenched my jaw. "That doesn't mean you can't be in love, can it?" He asked again. "It does. I don't fall in love." I spoke, standing up.
"Prove it." He responded, a little louder to get the other two's attention. "Prove it? How?" I asked. Draco looked at Blaise with a look. Blaise grinned turning to look at me. "Perhaps it's time to get the black book out?" He raised a brow. I shook my head. "No. She's my best friend— I can't do that." I protested. There's no way they can actually be serious. Theo knows how much she means to me.
"Come on, Lorenzo." Theo scoffed. "The sorting hat already made its first mistake putting you in Slytherin.." he spoke. I clenched my jaw again. "The least you could do is live up to it." I looked away. Was I actually considering this?
"You know what? If you do this, and she doesn't fall for you.. win-win." Blaise said. "Yeah, you'll both be best friends.. or whatever." Theo snickered. I ignored him. "And, she's Gryffindor. Plus points." Draco dragged. My jaw eased as I sat back down. "25 galleons." I said. Theo and Blaise whooed and cheered. "50 if you make her fall for you." Draco whispered.
Blaise pulled out my diary, flipping through the countless pages filled with the names of girls and muggles alike. Theo brought out a quill, writing her name. "Celia Amesford.. fifty-galleons, Gryffindor. So that's.." he spoke, looking at Draco. "15 points." He said as the three laughed. "Two months, Berkshire." Blaise said. I scoffed, snatching the book. "Give me a month." Theo whistled as my eye landed on Draco who had an evil smirk on his mouth. I didn't think much of it.
I mean.. Celia won't fall for me. She doesn't like me.. not in that way, at least. And I'll just give her half the money and say it was a prank. She'll laugh about it with me. Right?
