Notes:
Sorry this took longer than usual to write, and it went through many rewrites because none made me happy enough. I hope this one comes to your liking! Thanks for reading.
Also!! I'm kind of tempted to do a little in-between chapter after this with some very romantic smut of them, but I'm unsure if someone would read it.
The morning light streamed through the curtains of your small room, casting soft rays onto your bed as you stared up at the ceiling, heart pounding with a mix of nerves and excitement. You'd been awake for hours now, unable to stay still. You rolled around on the bed, giddy and nervous, sometimes glancing at yourself in the mirror across the room. You couldn't stop thinking about the evening ahead—a private dinner with Lady Dimitrescu. Your heart raced at the thought of her, at the way she smiled at you yesterday and promised that tonight would be special.
You smiled shyly to yourself, blushing as you glanced at the dress she'd given you. It was beautiful, far more elegant than anything you'd ever owned, with fabric so soft and luxurious it almost felt like a dream. You hesitated for a moment, admiring the dress hanging by your bed before finally deciding to put it on. As you slipped into the gown, you couldn't help but feel your cheeks heat up again. The dress fit perfectly, hugging your figure in a way that made you feel... breathtaking. Would she like it?
You spun around once, glancing at yourself in the mirror, barely able to contain the smile on your face. But just as you were admiring your reflection, a sudden knock at the door startled you, making you jump slightly. You quickly composed yourself, calling out, "Come in!"
The door swung open, and in bounced Daniela, the youngest and most cheerful of Lady Dimitrescu's daughters. Her fiery red hair and mischievous smile were impossible to miss. She took one look at you and grinned, wasting no time as she rushed toward you, enveloping you in a hug so tight your feet left the ground.
"Daniela!" you gasped, surprised but laughing at her energy.
"Oh my god! You've got a date with Mother, I see!" Daniela teased, her excitement palpable as she squeezed you tighter, nearly lifting you off the floor again. "I'm so happy for you!"
Your face flushed at the word date, and you smiled nervously. "It's not... a date," you murmured, though the butterflies in your stomach told you otherwise.
"Yeah, right!" Daniela gave you a knowing wink. "Come on, let me do your makeup! I know exactly what'll impress Mother." She dragged you toward the small vanity in the corner before you could protest.
You smiled and nodded, letting Daniela have her fun. She was fast, her hands expertly working through your hair and applying just the right amount of makeup to enhance your features. When she finished, she stepped back, looking proud. "There! You're going to knock her dead, I swear."
You blushed, staring at your reflection again, barely recognizing yourself. You looked... beautiful.
"Thank you, Daniela," you said, feeling your heart swell with gratitude. She gave you one last hug before wishing you luck and darting out of the room, leaving you alone again with your nerves.
Evening had finally come, and as you made your way down the grand halls of Castle Dimitrescu, your heart beat faster with every step. You were on your way to the dining hall, where Alcina—Lady Dimitrescu—was waiting. You could already hear the faint sound of soft music playing as you approached, and when you finally entered, the sight before you stole your breath.
The hall was bathed in the warm glow of candlelight, a beautifully adorned table set by one of the grand balconies. Beyond it, the night sky glittered with stars, casting a magical glow over the scene. And there, standing by the table in a stunning red dress, was Lady Dimitrescu herself.
