juliette pulled matt closer by his shirt as their lips connected. their lips moved in synchronisation as her fingers ran through his hair, pulling him closer against her.
she felt the grin on his lips as they kissed, it was deep and messy as they both were flushed and soaking in this moment together.
they pulled away, gasping for air as they watched each other. he noticed how pink and swollen her lips were now, her lipstick smudged across the both of their lips. she looked up at him dazed from the moment. she felt his lips against hers still, convinced his kiss would forever stain her memories.
he tucked her hair behind her ear as he leaned in, his mouth ghosting her ear "me, you, dinner tonight" he whispered his voice quiet and raspy.
juliette breathed out in shock feeling a shiver run down her spine from his close proximity. unable to form words she nodded causing matt to chuckle as he pulled back.
"i'll pick you up at 8 then" he pulled her in for another kiss before he pulled away walking away. dumbstruck she watched him leave, feeling her cheeks heat up.
juliette rarely got flustered, normally being the one to meaninglessly flirt with a guy till he was a blushing mess but matt seemed to be different. she felt a flutter of excitement in her stomach. this summer might be more interesting than she thought.
she stood in the cool night air as she waited for matt. she adjusted her dress for the millionth time as she frowned from his absence.
suddenly she felt goosebumps form on her arms as she heard his voice, matt appearing in front of her, his grin wild and so intoxicating.
"sorry i'm late but don't you look beautiful baby" she smiled glad to see him her earlier annoyance gone at his words.
"let's go" he said his smile soft as she felt his hand engulf her own as he lead her to his car. he opened the door for her causing her to giggle as she pulled the seatbelt on herself.
"where we going?" she questioned as matt sat down in the car, getting ready to drive. his eyes had a glint of mischief as he replied "you'll see"
she groaned, her curiousness getting the better of her. she looked down at herself and the long silky dress she was wearing "i'm not dressed too fancy am i?" she questioned feeling nervous.
he glanced over at her, his eyes trailing her body before leaning his arm on her seat as he pulled out of his parking spot "you look perfect don't worry"
his words soothed her brain as she blushed, looking out the window. the radios soft hum of sweater weather was all that could be heard. sometime in the drive his hand had moved to rest on her thigh, her skin igniting from his touch.
the car had stopped and she looked around curiously as she got out wondering where they were. they were in spain both currently on holiday so she had no idea where they could be.
she noticed a restaurant in front of them but could tell little about it from the outside. matt held the door open for her as she walked in, feeling a slight gasp escape her lips. the restaurant was fancy with its huge entrance and old architecture catching her attention. matt walked up to the server who was checking people for their reservations, she saw them exchange a few words and then matt was walking back towards her as he led her to table.
it was on a balcony with a gorgeous view of the city. the table itself was covered in a white tablecloth with roses placed gently in a vase in the middle. she sat down bewildered as she stared at matt who seemed pleased at her reaction.
"this is just.. wow" she felt at a loss of words, matt's studying gaze not helping the nerves she felt.
they laughed through the night and enjoyed the night together as if they had all of eternity together. in their blissful world they forget that there was an expatriation date to their summer romance.
