After Jamal was done with his shift he offered me a ride home.
Of course, I declined because I don't know him well enough to be sure that he wasn't a serial killer or a kidnapper. Yes he has his daughter with him but you could use that as a facade.
As fine as he is I won't even allow myself to go through that. I'm not stupid and I don't like the idea of him having any baby mama drama either.
It was fun to hang with Harmony and it was a nice feeling to be around him for so long but that was about it.
I haven't seen her or Jamal in a week.
I went home that night and took care of my personal business before falling asleep. I had a wet dream about him and couldn't get his damn sexy face out of my mind.
I would never see him again so it's not like I could do something about it. So I told myself over and over to forget about him.
What's odd though is that for the past couple of days I've been receiving flowers and chocolates at my door every morning. There would be no note, a return address or anything. Just flowers and chocolates. I thought it might've been Jamal but he doesn't know where I stay and that would be pretty weird if it was him.
Then I figured it was someone else who I used to deal with but again, that would be weird because only one guy knows where I stay and I've cut all contact with him like three months ago.
So I just brushed it off and went in about my day.
The next morning I received a call from a local bar asking if I'd like to work for them as a waitress. I said yes and I was told to come in for an interview the same day.
I got the job- yay me- and I start tonight at nine. I had planned on taking a quick nap before I went in but my phone had other plans.
I was so ready to take a shower and lay down but my phone had other plans.
Just as I was about to fall asleep on my stomach, my phone pinged with a message followed by someone calling me two seconds later.
