We went to a place called the "ARGYLE PUBLIC LIBRARY." "Let's split up," Luther suggested, and Diego replied sarcastically, "Wow, you're so smart." We split up and searched for our lost brother. We all ended up on the top floor but still had no luck.

"Did you find anything?" Luther asked us, but we shook our heads. Luther sighed deeply. "Do you want to know why I left?"

"What? What are you talking about?" Diego asked, confused.

Luther walked closer to us. "Why I left the Academy."

"You couldn't stand that I'm Number One," Diego sneered.

"No. Because it's normal for a 17-year-old. You move out, become independent, grow up."

"Oh yeah, because you're so grown up," Luther retorted sarcastically. I rolled my eyes.

"Can you stop being a know-it-all for just one moment?" I asked, annoyed. Luther just looked at me as if daring me to say more.

"At least I'm my own man," Diego shot back. "You never had to pay bills, get a job. Have you ever even had a girlfriend?"

I couldn't help but smile as Luther stuttered, "Uh... I..."

"I'm not talking to you about that," he finally added, and Diego chuckled softly.

"You know, if you think it's our fault because we left, that's fine. But maybe you're asking the wrong question. Maybe it's not why we left. Maybe the question is why didn't you?"

Luther stepped even closer. "I didn't leave because the world needed me."

Diego sighed, and I scoffed, "You stayed because you couldn't let go of what used to be. The Academy, Dad. Allison."

Luther lowered his gaze, and Diego continued, "Dad's dead. Mom is too now. We're orphans again. And what was will never come back."

"Do you ever stop talking?" Luther asked, annoyed. But suddenly, we heard women laughing and followed the sound. "Wow, that was easy," Luther muttered to himself before following us.

As we turned the corner, we found Five sitting on the ground, probably asleep and definitely drunk. I stared at Five in disbelief. "Is he...," I began.

"Drunk as a skunk," Diego and I said simultaneously.

We walked down an alley. Luther was carrying the unconscious Five in his arms while Diego and I walked beside him. Suddenly, Five burped and mumbled, "If you puke on me..." but Luther didn't finish the sentence.

"You know what's funny? I'm going through puberty. Oh, for the second time. I finished the bottle, didn't I?" Five slurred. We walked in silence, ignoring his questions.

But Five kept talking. "What do you do when the world you love just disappears? Poof, and it's gone."

I couldn't help but smile slightly. "What were you just talking about?" Five asked suddenly.
