The hospital corridor hums with an anxious energy, punctuated by the occasional sob that echoes off the sterile walls. Older ladies cluster together, their faces etched with worry, their eyes red-rimmed from tears shed and those yet to come. Each step down the corridor feels heavy, laden with the weight of impending tragedy.
In one corner, the girls huddle together, their heads bowed in silent prayer. They cling to each other for support, their trembling hands offering little solace against the looming uncertainty. An anguished cry pierces through the sombre atmosphere, her voice carrying the weight of their worst nightmare.
Further down the corridor, Rishi and Rajwardhan stand side by side, supported by the boys around them. Their eyes are fixed on the closed doors of the operating theatre. Dhruv and Sarthak, their names whispered in desperate pleas, fight for their lives on the other side. The fear etched into their loved ones' faces mirrors the gravity of the situation within.
Inside the operating room, the harsh glare of surgical lights casts long shadows across the tense faces of the medical team. The air thickens with urgency as they work tirelessly to stem the tide of impending tragedy. Every second is precious, every heartbeat a fragile thread holding onto hope.
But even amidst the controlled chaos of the operating theatre, the grim reality cannot be ignored. The surgeon's voice cuts through the tension like a knife, delivering a devastating prognosis to the waiting family members outside. "They have little time." The words hang heavy in the air, a cruel reminder of the fragility of life.
You will never be forgiven, Samaira Mehrotra. This is the only thought echoing in their minds.
