Nevertheless, I was prepared to die for that thing in your chest.

September 7th, 1891

The sound of a roaring crowd and chants echoed all around the quidditch pitch. Valeria gawked in awe as the players whipped about fast on their brooms. The game was so fast, she was almost getting dizzy from having to turn her head side to side to keep up with what was happening.

" Go for the score Imelda!!" Sebastian shouted as he clapped his hands together, cheering on Slytherin. He turned to see Valeria's confused yet intrigued expression. She was definitely interested though she had no clue what was happening.

He chuckled to himself as he leaned in, speaking into her ear so she could hear. " How are you enjoying your first quidditch game? Quite a riot isn't it?"

Valeria laughed softly as she turned, leaning to speak back into his ear. Her hand rested on his shoulder, the lightest touch sending a shiver through his body. That only exemplified as he heard her voice so close to his ear.

" It's wonderful! I don't know what's happening!" She confessed with a laugh as he looked over at her laughing as well.

She just shrugged and turned back to the game at hand, cheering with Sebastian.

Then in one quick swoop the Slytherin Seeker dove down behind the stands, everyone stood on her toes curious as to what he was doing. All of a sudden he shot up over the crowd waving his hand victorious.

" he got the snitch!!" Sebastian shouted in excitement, he hollered turning to Valeria and wrapping his arms around her waist lifting her in a joyous celebration.

" Slytherin has won!!" He shouted as she laughed, doing her best to hold on to him.

In the distance the announcer confirmed what Sebastian yelled.

Slytherin had won the first game of quidditch of the season.

Valeria rummaged through her dresser trying to find the scorebook she had gotten Garreth as a late birthday present. A tad more aggressive than necessary but in truth she was very much still angry with Sallow.

The week passed with them not speaking after they exploded on one another. Her heart ached when she thought of it. Her blood boiling with anger and betrayal.

She remembered when she told him about her family. About her past and how they'd abandoned her. Why the matter of choice was so important to her.

" I promise to never do that to you."

His words echoed in her head even after all these years. She slammed the drawer shut with a frustrated growl.

" Then why did you do it?!" She shouted in anger. She had never felt anger like this before. She resisted the urge to scream into her pillow all week. Trying to keep composure.

She opened a second drawer, rummaging through it and luckily finding the scorebook to keep her nerves in check. Every little thing was angering her.

Luckily she managed to not take it out on any students. Though she did accidentally kill a chomping cabbage after it tried to nip at her. She buried it like a pet and cried over its death. Feeling awful for the casualty of her anger towards Sallow.

As she went to close the drawer a pastel green ribbon caught her attention. Her blood only boiled further as she stared at the thin piece of fabric.

She slammed the drawer shut before turning on her heel.
