A tense silence filled the cabin of the Pave Low as the group of Shadow Company soldiers secured the gas canisters they had acquired. The Shadow Soldier's voice cut through the air, breaking the stillness.
"Canisters in the drums. All gas secure."
Two of the soldiers exchanged a quick fist bump, a silent acknowledgment of their successful mission. Meanwhile, two others diligently secured the gas canisters, their movements methodical and precise.
Across from them, two Shadow soldiers sat apart, their eyes keenly observing the activity around the canisters.
Suddenly, a phone rang, shattering the quiet atmosphere. One of the sitting Shadows answered the call,
"Yes... Yes, Commander-Chemicals secure" his heavily Russian accented voice confirmed to the person behind the call.
With a determined nod to his partner, he uttered two words that sent a shiver down their spines.
"It's time..."
Nolan and Ivan rose to their feet, their gaze locking with the Shadow soldiers around the gas canisters. Sensing the tension, one of the other four soldiers spoke up.
"Hey, who're you talking to...?"
Without hesitation, Ivan and Nolan drew their X12s, the metallic gleam of their weapons reflecting the dim light of the cabin. In an instant, the air was filled with the sharp crack of gunfire as they opened fire on their unsuspecting comrades, their bodies falling lifelessly to the floor.
Nolan swiftly pulled a corpse away from the gas canisters, revealing their true intentions. Ivan wasted no time, swiftly dialing a number on his phone as he spoke in Russian.
"We're clear," Nolan declared in Russian, his voice devoid of remorse as they removed their Shadow Company patches, revealing the Konni Group insignia underneath.
"Commander Makarov... Enemies KIA,"

I covered my mouth in shock as the distorted voice played over the speakers, echoing through the room with a chilling clarity. The aircraft's black box recording was like a punch to the gut, every detail clawing at my insides.
Unbeknownst to us, Vladimir Makarov had ordered several teams of Konni soldiers to disguise themselves as Shadow Company operatives and infiltrate one of the helicopters transporting the gas canisters. The deception had been flawless, a masterstroke of subterfuge. We had been outplayed.
The team, comprised of Ivan Alexxeve and Andrei Nolan, were successful in killing all the Shadow Company contractors on board and securing the gas for Makarov.
The tension in the meeting room was palpable as we examined the evidence left behind by Konni, their cunning tactics leaving us reeling with anger and frustration. I couldn't help but feel a surge of rage coursing through me as the gravity of the situation sank in.
Konni had once again outsmarted us, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
Beside me, Phillip's shoulders tensed, his hand flexing against the surface of the table as the full weight of the betrayal sank in. He'd lost men today-good men-and the anger radiating off him was almost tangible. His jaw clenched, and I knew him well enough to see the storm brewing inside. When he slammed his fist down on the table, the sudden noise made me flinch, even though I'd been expecting it.
"Fuck!"
His expletive echoed in the room, shattering the heavy silence like glass.
No one moved. No one dared.
