Chapter 3, BE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE.

Have you ever heard?? "Gratitude is the best attitude".
If no, then I will tell you.
One question may arise in your mind, How gratitude is the best attitude?
So, today in this article, I will tell you the answer.

Let's understood what does gratitude means... Gratitude simply means being grateful ( shukar guzaar ). You may ask, being grateful for what??
Being grateful for whatever you have....  Either your parents, siblings and relatives or having favourite stuff.

Let's count the bounties we  have!  We all have a body in which we have soo many external parts ( like a pair of eyes, ears, hands, and legs) and internal parts ( includes a pair of kidneys, lungs, a heart ,a brain etc) through which we do our works effectively. Right??
Let's suppose if any one of them gets defected, would we able to do works effectively now?? No, never....
Why??
Due to the fact that our body works in collaboration not in division. So, be grateful for all the body parts.

"Gratitude helps us to see what's there instead of what isn't"

Let's take one more ex. for clarification, when we get any cut or wound, that part ached, along with that ,our whole body are not in good state . Isn't it right??

Ustadah Yasmin Mogahed once said,

"BE GRATEFUL FOR THE WOUND WHICH PUSHES YOU TOWARD ALLAH S.W.T"

We have to be grateful in every situation, wheather the situation is good or bad, every situation serves a purpose.

To understand gratitude better, let's compare ourselves with lower class people like begger or maid. We have our own pakka house where we live without hesitation and saving oneself from frosty, downpour and scorching hot but they haven't their own house, even they cannot save themselves from  bad weathers. We have variety of delicious dishes to eat but they haven't. Yet they are far more grateful than us.😔

We always tends to compare ourselves with upper class people, that leads us to ungratefulness.
If I am wrong then, pls correctify me!

"Gratitude sweetens even the smallest moments"

So, from today onwards, we all will try to follow gratefullness.

I would like to conclude, by a quote of John Ortberg.

"Gratitude is the ability to experience life as a gift. It liberates us from the prison of self - preoccupation".
