AUTHOR POV

Emma hurries through the winding halls of Hogwarts, her mind racing. The stone corridors seem darker and colder than before, every step echoing ominously off the walls. She can feel Jimin's presence somewhere close, and her heart beats faster with a mixture of dread and determination. The memory of his shadowy figure in the mirror lingers in her mind, making her doubt everything she thought she knew about him.

Emma steps out into the courtyard, the night air cool against her skin. The moon casts an eerie glow over the castle grounds, and there, standing under a large oak tree, is Jimin. He looks calm, as if he's been waiting for her, but there's something distant in his expression—something guarded.

Jimin:
(softly, but with a hint of expectation)
"You came."

Emma's jaw clenches, the wave of questions and uncertainty crashing through her. She's not here for pleasantries. She needs answers.

Emma:
(her voice sharp, cutting through the silence)
"Of course I came. But now I need to know the truth, Jimin. All of it."

Jimin shifts slightly, his eyes flickering with an unreadable emotion. For a moment, it seems like he's about to speak, but then he looks away, as if avoiding her gaze.

Jimin:
"There are things... you're not ready to understand yet, Emma."

Emma feels a surge of anger rise up inside her. She's heard enough of this. All her life, people have kept things from her, treated her like she was too fragile to handle the truth.

Emma:
(her voice rising with frustration)
"I'm tired of being told what I am or am not ready for! You've been keeping secrets from me ever since we met. I saw something tonight—something in that mirror. You know more about me than you're letting on, Jimin. Why won't you just tell me the truth?"

Jimin remains silent for a moment, his face unreadable. Then, finally, he speaks, but his voice is softer, as if he's choosing his words carefully.

Jimin:
"It's not that simple. There are forces at play here, Emma—things you can't yet comprehend. If I told you everything, it might put you in more danger than you already are."

Emma steps forward, her eyes flashing with anger and hurt.

Emma:
"Danger? I'm already in danger, Jimin! My whole life has been a lie. My parents weren't even my real parents. I don't know who I am, or what I'm supposed to be. And now, I find out you've been hiding things from me too? After everything we've been through?"

Jimin's face tightens, a flicker of guilt crossing his features, but still, he avoids answering her directly.

Jimin:
"I didn't mean to hurt you, Emma. But I'm trying to protect you. If you knew everything... if you understood the bond between us, you'd see that—"

Emma cuts him off, her voice cold.

Emma:
"The bond between us? Is that why you've been helping me? Because of some... magic bond? Not because you care, not because you wanted to, but because you had to?"

Jimin winces at her words, but he doesn't deny it. Instead, he stays silent, his expression pained.

Emma:
(her voice breaking with betrayal)
"So, it's true. All this time, it was never about me. It was about whatever magic is tying us together, wasn't it?"
