Scene: The Great Hall – Morning

The next morning, the sun streamed through the tall windows of the Great Hall, casting warm, golden rays across the long tables. Students filled the hall, chattering excitedly over breakfast, but at the Gryffindor table, a strange tension hovered in the air.

Emma sat next to her usual spot, her gaze flickering over to Jungkook every few seconds. He was seated across from her, but unlike the mornings they had spent laughing and talking together, he was quiet. His head was down, focused on his food, and he hadn't said a word to her since he arrived. The space between them felt like an ocean.

She tried to smile, hoping to break the icy silence.

Emma (nervously):
"Hey, Jungkook... Did you finish that Potions essay? Professor Snape wasn't exactly happy with the last one I turned in."

Jungkook didn't look up. He simply shrugged, pushing his food around his plate, as if he hadn't even heard her. His face was neutral, but Emma could feel the distance he was creating—both physically and emotionally.

Her heart sank, and she bit her lip, glancing over at Jimin, who sat next to her, watching the interaction closely. Jimin, who usually had a smirk or a teasing comment ready, stayed quiet, his expression serious as he observed Jungkook's cold behavior.

Jimin (softly, to Emma):
"Something's bothering him."

Emma nodded, her eyes downcast. She knew exactly what was bothering him. The kiss they had shared last night hadn't sparked the same emotions, and she knew it must have hurt Jungkook more than she'd realized. She hadn't meant to hurt him—she was just as confused as he was—but now the weight of that confusion was settling heavily between them.

Emma (sighing):
"I didn't mean for things to get so complicated..."

Jimin leaned in slightly, his hand brushing against hers under the table, offering quiet comfort.

Jimin (gently):
"You should talk to him. He deserves to know where your heart stands."

Emma knew Jimin was right, but the thought of confronting Jungkook felt daunting. She didn't want to cause him more pain, and she certainly didn't want to push him further away. Still, the distance between them was growing with every passing minute.

Across the table, Jungkook finally stood up, his chair scraping against the floor. He grabbed his bag without a word and headed toward the door, his movements stiff and uncharacteristically cold. Emma's heart clenched as she watched him leave.

Emma (calling after him):
"Jungkook, wait—"

But he didn't stop. He didn't even glance back.

The weight of his silence hit her like a ton of bricks. Jungkook had never been this distant with her before. He was always the one to lighten the mood, to crack a joke when things got too heavy. But now, it felt like he was slipping away from her, and she wasn't sure how to reach him anymore.

Jimin watched her for a moment before speaking, his voice soft but firm.

Jimin (gently):
"He just needs time. You can't fix this overnight."

Emma nodded, though her chest ached. She knew Jimin was right, but the thought of losing Jungkook's friendship, of letting this rift grow between them, was almost unbearable.

Emma (murmuring):
"I hope you're right."
