Shubman's heart sank as he threw his phone away in aggravation.

He never minded the rumours with Sara, because they were rumours with the right person.

However, rumours with Sara Ali Khan was the most unexpected thing to ever happen.

He didn't expect a harmless encounter at the airport would turn into rumours.

He'd been trying to reach to Sara for over an hour now, but she didn't receive his calls.

Did she believe them?

Did she think he cheated?

Had her trust in him faded already?

His phone rang, disrupting his thoughts and he immediately received it without checking who it was.

" Hello Sir?"

" Chaya?"

" Yeah um...Ma'am is caught up in back to back meetings so she couldn't receive your calls. She said she'll call you once her meetings are done."

" Oh...did...did she...say anything about the articles?"

" Ma'am did see them. I think you should talk to her about this yourself than having me pass on information. She'll be free in fifteen more minutes."

Shubman sighed, nodding, his insides twisting with fear.

He paced back and forth in the room, fifteen minutes suddenly seemed too long a while.

His phone rang and he immediately snapped his head towards it, only for it to be Abhay.

" And now they've got rumours on Bhabhi and her cousin too, what was his name again? Sidharth! I can't believe they're stooping so low!"

" What?" Shubman frowned.

" You didn't see the articles yet I s'ppose."

" I don't even want to." Shubman fiercely shook his head.

" Shubi, I know you're upset and I'm well aware what's making you upset but give her time? She must be busy."

" She is busy. Chaya said...she'd call in fifteen minutes."

" Then wait for fifteen minutes."

" I can't. At this rate, I'm so close to driving to her office."

" Perhaps you should go then."

" I think I will. I'll talk to you later Abhay. Bye!"

" Bye! Drive safe!"

" I will."

Grabbing the car keys, he walked out of the house.
