After the call, Lisa went back inside the room.

He saw Jennie sweating really hard.

Lisa immediately ran towards her. He grabbed a cloth and diligently wiped the sweat on her forehead.

Jennie kept turning her head left and right as her hands were pushing Lisa away from her.

"... Lisa... Where are you? *sob* NOO!..."

Jennie's eyes were still closed but every time Lisa touched her, she would scream while trying to push and kick him away.

"No!! Don't touch me!! Don't touch me!!... Lisa... LISA!!!"

Lisa tried to hold Jennie but he made sure to hold her gently to avoid hurting her.

Unfortunately, the more Lisa tried to stop her and restrict her movements, the more Jennie wanted to free herself.

"Shh... Shh... It's me! Jennie, it's me, Lisa.... Shhh.."

Lisa paled as he tried to hug her while trying to say comforting words.

But Jennie seemed like she could not hear him.

She kept screaming while trying to scratch Lisa.

"Don't touch me!!... Lisa!! Lisa!! Where are you?! Help me... No!! *sob* don't, please!"

Jennie seemed like she was on steroids. Her strength increased and was able to escape from Lisa's embrace. She forcefully pushed him away and immediately curled in a fetal position to protect her abdomen.

Lisa was thrown backwards. He almost fell on the ground but he immediately steadied himself.

When he saw Jennie screaming while hugging her knees, Lisa felt like the gods had abandoned him.

'Why is this happening to my family? Is this... my retribution for my sins?'

Lisa once again slowly tried to touch Jennie but she would immediately defend herself like an angry leopard every time she feels his touch.

...*sob* Lisa... Where are you?? Where are you??"

Lisa's face suddenly aged a lot. His eyes dimmed as he stared at Jennie who was whispering incoherently.

Her eyes were still closed but her cheeks were already full of tears.

Lisa wanted to hug her.

He wanted to tell her that everything was okay.

That everything was over.

The nightmare was over.

But she wouldn't let him near her.

She didn't recognize him.

She tried to avoid his touch.

Lisa could only call the doctor and nurses.

When they arrived, Jennie was still shaking while mumbling incoherently. Luckily, her IV drops were still attached to her hand.

Since Jennie wouldn't allow anyone to touch her, the doctor could only order the nurse to give her a calming medicine.

When Jennie stopped struggling and resumed sleeping peacefully, the doctor turned his attention to Lisa.

"Mister, you must not aggrieve the patient. Her body is weak and she needs to rest."

The hospital was far from the city. The doctor was oblivious of Lisa's status so he immediately castigated him without a second thought.

Lisa did not get angry at the doctor. He only looked at him and nodded his head.
