no ones pov:

Chan raised an eyebrow, his lips curving into a playful smile as he shifted closer to Jeongin.

“Oh, I remember,” he said, his voice dipping into a low, teasing tone.

Before Jeongin could respond, Chan’s hands were on his hips, pulling him closer until he was straddling Chan’s lap. Chan’s fingers pressed into his waist, their bodies flush against each other as Chan leaned in, his breath hot against Jeongin’s skin.

“Let’s pick up where we left off,” Chan murmured, his lips brushing against Jeongin’s before capturing them in a heated kiss.

Jeongin's breath hitched as Chan’s lips met his. There was a slow, deliberate intensity to the kiss, like Chan was pouring every unspoken word and emotion into it.

Jeongin’s hands instinctively moved to Chan’s shoulders, his fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt as he pressed closer. Chan's hands, still resting on Jeongin's hips, tightened slightly, grounding them both in the moment.

For a moment, everything else seemed to fade away, Felix’s tears, the heaviness of the conversation, the emotional weight that had hung in the room. Now, it was just the two of them, sharing the quiet comfort of each other’s presence.

Jeongin broke the kiss first, but only to catch his breath, his forehead resting against Chan's. They both breathed heavily, their chests rising and falling in sync.

Chan let out a soft chuckle, his hand gently sliding up Jeongin’s back, fingers tracing light patterns along his spine.

“You okay?” Chan asked, his voice low and gentle.

Jeongin nodded, his eyes fluttering shut for a brief moment before he looked up at Chan again.

“I am now,” he murmured, his lips quirking into a small smile.

“I just… I’m glad you’re here.”

Chan’s expression softened, his thumb brushing along Jeongin’s jawline.

“I’ll always be here, Innie. No matter what. Just like we’ll always be here for Felix, or Hyunjin, or anyone else who needs us.”

“I know. And that’s what makes everything okay. Even when it feels too much sometimes… I know I have you.” Jeongin smiled wider at that, feeling warmth bloom in his chest at Chan’s words.

“You always will.” Chan’s smile deepened, and he leaned in, pressing a tender kiss to Jeongin’s forehead.

For a few moments, they stayed like that, Jeongin perched comfortably in Chan’s lap, their foreheads pressed together, just savoring the quiet intimacy of the moment.

The earlier tension in the room seemed to melt away entirely, leaving behind only the soft comfort of their connection.

“By the way,” Jeongin began after a long pause, his tone slightly teasing.

“You’re getting good at these emotional speeches.”

Chan chuckled, his fingers tracing lazy circles on Jeongin’s lower back.
