"It's funny coming home.
Everything looks the same, smells the same. Nothing has changed.
You realize that you're the one who's changed."

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Rosella Swan, the eldest daughter of former couple Charlie Swan and Renée Dwyer, was a sweet child growing up. Despite her quirks, Ella never failed to lead a normal life, she had lots of friends at school, she went out on casual occasions with friends, she had a very good social life, unlike her younger sister Isabella Swan, who was more shy and quiet, had no friends and didn't like to leave the house.

It was hard for the older Swan to make the decision to leave Phoenix, as much as Ella didn't like the heat, she would certainly miss the city, but she would miss her mother much more, the shopping trips, the side conversations, girls' nights out, Rosella would miss her mother.

The blonde put her last suitcase down and then looked at the airport, it had been a while since she last came to Forks, she missed the cold, and her father, but otherwise she didn't really want to come to Forks, not to live in a small town forever.

— I miss home already... — Bella murmured to her sister, who was helping her take Bella's suitcases off the conveyor belt — I don't like the cold, I don't like the humidity and I hate the rain.

— We've barely arrived and you're already complaining. —Ella lets out a low laugh and then strokes her younger sister's shoulder in an attempt to console her — think on the bright side, we're going to see Dad.

Bella shrugged with a forced smile on her face, which made Ella smile as she shook her head slightly in denial, the youngest Swan then decided to walk and Ella just followed her while carrying her bags. Not far away, they spotted Charlie and the first to run was Ella, who dropped her bags with Bella and ran towards her father to hug him.

— Daddy! - Ella threw herself into his arms, almost knocking her old man over — I missed you... I really missed you, Sheriff Swan.

— I missed you too, sweetheart. — Charlie kissed his daughter's head and then turned away from her, only to look at his youngest daughter, who had been carrying all the suitcases with a crooked smile on her face — Bella.

— Dad. — Bella nodded, still with a crooked smile on her face — how long?

Ella then went to get her suitcases back from the road, so that she could go home and get out of that strange atmosphere. In her head, she could only think of one thing: that Bella really was Charlie's daughter.

The police car pulled up in front of the old house, the first to get out was Ella, who was in the front passenger seat next to Charlie, which had been a relief for Bella during the car journey. As soon as she got out, Ella went straight to getting her suitcases out of the trunk, then went into the house, as she already knew it, she didn't need Charlie to give her a tour, she knew exactly where her bedroom was and where the only bathroom in the house was.

— I cleaned some shelves in the bathroom. — Charlie said.

— Thanks, Dad. — Said Rosella with a smile on her face.

— Nice, a bathroom... — Bella murmurs.

Ella lets out a low laugh and then enters her room, the color of the wall was still the same, green, her favorite color, but the single bed she had before was no longer there, in its place a wooden double bed was placed, a desk and a wooden rocking chair were also added.

— Do you like it? — Charlie asks from the doorway — I've changed a few things... I bought some new bedding, you like green, don't you?

— Yes. - Ella smiles — green is my favorite color.

— That's nice...

After Charlie left the room, Ella could relax a little, left her backpack in a corner and sat down on her new bed, which made her smell again. However, Ella barely had time to relax, as the sound of a horn made her get up to look out of the window. The blonde approached the window and saw Billy Black and his son Jacob.

As soon as she got out, she went over to Billy to say hello, as it had been a long time since she had seen Billy, her father's best friend.

— Girls, do you remember Billy Black? — Charlie looks at his two daughters.

— How could I forget? — Ella smiled broadly at Jacob and Billy — it would be impossible to forget. You look very well, Billy.

— I still dance. — Joked the eldest.

— So, girls, did you like it? v Charlie asked his daughters as he leaned against the orange truck.

— What? — Ella asked confusedly, and then Charlie pointed at the truck with his head and smiled broadly.

— I just bought it from Billy. — He bragged.

— No kidding! — Bella immediately perked up — this is perfect!

— It's my housewarming present. — Charlie said and Rosella immediately went to hug him.

Bella got into the truck and Jacob went after her, while Ella stayed outside with her father and Billy, which gave her the opportunity to see her interacting normally with Jacob, which pleased her. Rosella smiled and then turned to her father, who was chatting animatedly with Billy. The blonde hugged her father again and took a deep breath, enjoying the comfort of his arms.

After that, it was time for dinner, Billy and Jacob had returned to the reserve and the Swans were finally able to make dinner, or at least the sisters, since Charlie was terrible in the kitchen. And Rosella was no different, her only skill in the kitchen was chopping vegetables and making popcorn, microwaved if it didn't burn on the stove.

— You're terrible at it... — Bella muttered as she watched her sister stir the pot of tomato sauce fervently - you're going to spill everything if you carry on like this.

— You're offending me. — Ella pretended to be hurt — my feelings are easily hurt, you know that Bella.

Bella laughed and then took over the pot so that her sister wouldn't destroy the pasta sauce. Ella, seeing that Bella no longer needed her help, sat down at the kitchen counter while she watched her sister at the edge of the stove, very focused on what she was doing.

— You'd be a great mother... — Ella commented.

— How can you be so sure?

— Well... You practically took care of me and Mom.

— I think you'd be a much better mother than me.

— Really? Why is that?

— It's just my intuition talking....

Bella smiles shyly, but doesn't pull away, just lets herself be kissed by her sister. The youngest Swan felt very lucky at that moment to have a sister like Ella, as much as Rosella seemed to be carefree and empty-headed like her mother, Ella could easily change her personality if Bella was threatened, from good to bad, and Ella wouldn't mind playing the villain.
