Nine men armed and dressed in B.S.A.A. uniforms approached us.
"You have no idea how glad I am to see you around here," Chris said.
"Stone, Captain of the Delta team," said a man of color.
We all saluted with a visor salute.
"Chris Redfield," the burly man introduced himself and shook hands with Stone.
"Mazen Adam," I did the same, and he shook my hands as well.
"Son, you need to get that wound checked out," he said to me and called over one of the soldiers who arrived with a first aid kit.
"Sheva..." said the Delta team captain, looking at the woman.
"Thanks, Josh, I owe you one," she commented.
"You two know each other?" Redfield interrupted.
"Josh was my instructor. He taught me almost everything I know."
"Sheva became the little sister of the team," Stone explained. "Sheva, now you need to continue searching for Irving. From the data we managed to recover from the hard drive," he pulled a cache from his pocket, "we believe he could be in the mines. Inside, there's more information." He handed the hard drive to Chris while continuing. "We'll head over when we're done here. Keep your radio on just in case."
"Agh," I groaned, and everyone looked at me.
The soldier sutured my wound and re-bandaged it. I thanked him.
"Thanks, Josh," Alomar nodded.
The Delta team captain simply nodded back and, along with his team, left the area.
The burly man inserted the hard drive into his device and searched through the files. The woman and I moved closer to get informed as well.
On the device's screen appeared some images of the Las Plagas virus, the Majinis, and other types of mutations. A picture of a blonde woman also appeared, apparently submerged in a tank. They were probably experimenting on her.
"Jill..." Redfield muttered in surprise.
Sheva and I looked at him, confused. The man was in shock.
"Chris... are you okay?" Agent Alomar asked.
"This photograph... it's..." He looked worried. "Forget it, it's nothing. Let's go." He quickly changed his attitude.
The agent walked ahead a bit and sighed.
"Sheva, do you know where the mines are?" he asked.
"Beyond the station. Not far from here, follow me," she responded.
The woman took the lead, and we followed. The path was clear.
"I wonder if that woman in the photograph is someone Chris knows... Anyway, I hope she can survive."
We reached the station, passing between the stationary trains on the tracks. Along the way, we encountered some infected dogs. We dealt with them, but soon more arrived and began to surround us.
Suddenly, a group of hyenas joined in to make things worse for us. We decided to run while shooting at them. We climbed some wooden planks, and I threw a grenade at the animals, leaving them behind.
Sheva shot at some infected Africans carrying crossbows, helping to clear the way for us to continue.
"Let's go!" Chris exclaimed.
We climbed onto the roof of a train, where more Majinis were waiting for us. With each shot, we carved our bloody path to reach our destination.
Every now and then, from the infected whose brains we blew out, those flying insects would emerge, and they were such damn annoying pests along the way.
