A new partner

Rex Crozzo, former ground-type specialist in St. Freya Academy, sighed as he looked at the Pokeballs before him. Due to the absurd specialization rules of the academy, he couldn't use any Pokemon that was not the same type or egg group as his specialization. Swampert was the only Pokemon he could use from his ground team in official academy-related events save for some ride Pokemons. 

"A Wimpod will be good," Rex said as he took the Pokeball of the water-bug Pokemon with a smile. 

"Hey, Rex!" Hearing the voice of his oldest brother, Rex turned around after registering the new Pokemon to his trainer ID and his eyes blinked. His brother, an Ice-type specialist who usually simps after Kallen or any pretty lady was acting calm and natural around the girl by his side. "You seeing this too?" He asked no one in particular while Reinhardt raised a brow as Elysia tilted her head. 

"Ville! Wea!" Reinhardt's Weaville replied with a shrug. 

"Hi! You must be Rex, right? Reinhardt told me a lot about you," 

"Nice to meet you too," 'Fluffy hair...' Rex thought as he watched her pink hair bounce. "So, what do you two need?" 

"You're a ground-type specialist, right? You see, Reinhardt and I are assigned to visit a volcanic area," 

"Rhydons are the best way to travel through a magma field. Just bring a magma suit," Rex finished before taking a Pokeball from his bag and tossing it to his older brother. "Fluffy should be able to safely take you across any Magma fields with ease," 

"Thanks, Rex!" Reinhardt said with a smile. "Oh yeah, speaking of which, I connected your new ID to the Den. You can send the rest of your old team back home," 

"Thank you, Rex," Elysia said with a smile. "So, shall we go?" 

"Sure, I can ask one of the psychic specialists to teleport us there," Reinhardt said without any flirty look or anything perverted making Rex freeze up. "Oh yeah, one of the Horsea's back home is strong enough to be given to a new trainer, want me to pick one for you?" 

"I'll do it... stay safe."  

"Thank you for your help, Rex," Elysia said with a smile, and before he could say anything. "Come on! I want to see some of those volcanic Pokemon!" Elysia grabbed his brother by the wrist and ran out of the room. 

A Pokeball on his waist opened, revealing the form of his Garchom giving him a blank stare. Rex stared back and shrugged before going back his way. 

'I need to train my new Wimpod,' He thought to himself.

"Lunch is close, Kiana. Just hold it in for a while," 

"Kiana Idiotka!" 

"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME, BRATNYA!?" 

"Please don't fight, you two," 

"Shut it, you brats! You have a new classmate transferring to this class," Himeko shouted as she entered the classroom. "Introduce yourself, shitty brat," With one swift tug, a rope tied around Rex. 

"This is why you're still single," Rex snarkily replied. 

A lone slipper landed gently on the desk and he stood up straight. "I'm Rex Crozzo, water-type specialist-in-training," 

"Big bro, Rex!" 

"Hey, Seele," Rex greeted a cute girl with blue hair sitting near the front. 

"You're getting cucked," A girl with white hair and blue eyes said to a girl with gray drill-like hair.
