"...Bloody Halloween." Mikey starts, staring at the Toman members standing before him. Chifuyu stands on his right as Hanma stands on the other side, Mikey's expression could not be described.
It took Chifuyu everything to even attend this meeting, he had no time to be here. He'd rather be roaming around town riding in Baji's very own motorbike he had passed onto him. But Baji's will kept him resilient, now with a goal carved in Chifuyu's mind, he can't afford to falter.
He must help in finding Takemichi Sano.
Chifuyu had recently found out from Draken that the 'Takemichi' Baji spoke of in his last moments is the missing brother of Mikey, and partly reason why Toman was made in the first place.
"Valhalla's 300 versus Toman's 150. Despite an overwhelming disadvantage...each of you held your own...and claimed our victory." Mikey is speaking in a tone unknown whether it is acknowledgement or pure melancholy, nevertheless, Toman members listened all ears.
"Shuji Hanma, Vice leader of the gang we defeated...has a message for us about Valhalla." Mikey's eyes slightly dilated as he subtly furrowed his brows.
"Shuji Hanma here...from Valhalla." Hanma starts, his tall figure seemed to loom over everyone has he stepped up. All Toman members are looking at him in nothing but wary.
"Valhalla...has never had a leader. So...in the wake of our defeat, we're joining under Toman's banner." Hanma continues earning confused mutterings from the members of Toman.
"VALHALLA IS NOW...AFFILIATED WITH THE TOKYO MANJI GANG!!" Hanma shouted in announcement, Toman members' already wide eyes seemed to have widened even more.
"Huh?! 300 guys from Valhalla joining our gang...? So Toman has 450 guys now...?!" "Shit, Toman's huge now!" "How much bigger are we gonna get?" "This kicks ass!" Toman members acknowledged this affiliation as a feat, from 150 to 450 members, they're clearly feeling pride.
"TOMAN RUUULES!" Someone from the crowd shouted which the others followed with a repeating mantra of shouting "Toman" as everyone raises their fists in celebration.
Chifuyu on the other hand, looks at all this with nothing but pure suspicion on the look of his eyes. A big gang giving up for a bunch of middle schoolers felt unlikely, did Mikey not get suspicious one bit? Chifuyu took a quick glance on Mikey's direction, his expression was the same as it was the very moment he spoke. It was chilling, and Chifuyu found himself feeling intimidated despite Mikey just staring blankly at nowhere. In fact, Mikey did not look like he was interested in any of this at all.
"SOMEBODY HELPED TO CONNECT OUR TWO GANGS." Hanma continues with his announcement. Chifuyu slightly squints his eyes.
'I knew it!' Chifuyu exclaimed inside his head, knowing fully that Valhalla giving up meant it probably served a benefit for the mastermind behind it all.
"IT'S THANKS TO HIM THAT THIS IS HAPPENING AT ALL! PLEASE, STEP FORWARD! TETTA KISAKI" Hanma shouted, the very person he had called slowly walking towards the platform he's standing on, members of Toman cheering him on. Chifuyu couldn't help but grit his teeth, did no one really know how suspicious this is? Kisaki is a new guy, to be looking buddy buddy with a Valhalla newbie definitely did not look too 'comrade' to Chifuyu.
How is he supposed to trust the guy Baji cursed 'til his very last breath? Did Mikey not know Baji's will at all? Chifuyu unconsciously grips his fists.
"Kisaki is the enemy."
Chifuyu remembers Baji's exact words, he could feel his own breathing fasten. He watches as Toman cheers for the guy Baji swore was the enemy.
