Well, this marks the end of the COLOURS Duology. I've had people question my decision to write a gay romance, of all things. But honestly, I don't have to be a mermaid to write a story about one falling in love with a prince. My imagination has always been wild enough to take me wherever I need to go.
That said, I loved every bit of writing this story in a new genre. It felt incredible to live through Ahen's eyes, and just as powerful to experience life as Swan. Music played a big role in bringing this world to life—violin covers by Joel Sunny—man I had no idea that Luminary was his own piece—and many other beautiful piano and cello covers of popular songs. Music truly does make everything better, and I hope it added depth to the experience of reading this story.
Thank you so much for joining me on this journey. I hope you enjoyed the COLOURS series as much as I enjoyed writing it. I'll see you soon with a new book soon, yeah? 😊❤
