Golden eyes flashed as a blonde boy entered the fortified-like city of Mondstadt. The city was buzzing with life as he scanned the area.

"Ok... here we go."

~

He gulped as he found a small group.

"The darks will fall for this one."

"They still haven't come out of hiding."

"Then we'll drag them out."

He paused before going over, holding a small journal and sword that was the size of a dagger. He paused near them before a blue haired female noticed.

"Yes?" The group turned as his golden eyes scanned them, having to look up since they were a bit taller than him.

"Uh... need help... sis missing... not strong..." The male of the group went over, kneeling down to his level.

"What's your sister look like?" Golden eyes blinked before he opened the journal and showed a picture.

"There. Lot like me, but not me." He then hummed. "Last saw sis with dangerous people. Scary people with magic. Not strong." His words caught their attention. The male hummed.

"What did these scary people look like?" The boy paused before flipping the page.

"Not good drawing cause I was scared, but this is sorta what they looked like. Were meanies. The one was floating and talking in a weird voice." The lady in purple paused.

"Did they have weird masks on?" He nodded.

"That was the scary part! It was like they were staring and never blinked!" He trembled at the memory. "It was so scary, but they wouldn't let me near sis! I want my sis..." The male picked him up as he trembled.

"There there... we'll find her for you. You just relax." He curled up in the grip and drifted off. The leader hummed.

"Abyss. This is dark territory. We need to charge them anyway."

"We'll do that in a bit. Let's let him rest. He was just through a traumatizing experience."

The boy, Aether, joined them as he hugged his dagger and journal. They went to a large building as a sound came from behind it. The group looks at each other before heading towards the sound. A female sighed upon seeing them.

"Hold!" The rest of the group stopped their work as she stepped forward, getting between the two groups. "Lights! What do you want this time!?" The male, Kaeya, gave a soft, snippish remark before the purple lady, Lisa, called out.

"My, is violence the first thought for you?" The female narrowed her eyes. "Ooh. Fine. Just asking. Besides, we aren't going to take heads. But if you keep this up, that'll change quickly."

"You're the ones constantly coming here to have a war. Not us." Aether scanned the opposing group as they paused, standing at a distance. The blue haired female, Eula frowned.

"We're here for information." The other female scoffed.

"Vanish. We don't want you here." The redhead, Rosaria, growled.

"Barbara, we just want info. You won't give it peacefully, we'll take it by force."

"Like hell you will. You know we can push you out. Scram or get a sword through your chest." The leader, Jean, stayed quiet as she stepped forward. "No, Jean. Not even Barbatos will change this. Leave." She sighed before turning around, the others following. Aether stayed put, watching as they stormed away. "What do you want, little boy?" He turned to her with a pause.

"I... my sis missing... they not know where... need help..."

The group retreated inside the church to talk. Noelle kept him occupied as they discussed Aether's real intentions; an alliance with the Abyss.

"We've been trying to get a hold of an alliance with them for years now. This is our chance!"

"We just have to be careful of the Lights. But besides that, I believe this is our only chance." The group nodded as Noelle brought over a tired Aether.

"So... how do we do this?" Barbara hummed.

"Well... let's see." She looked at Aether as he tiredly rubbed his face. "What did your sister say?" He hummed softly.

"She said... that if there's a way for the Abyss to help turn the region against the Lights, she would meet you in person... I think..." A small voice spoke as someone joined them.

"Can you reach your sister?" Barbara cursed softly as someone went over. Aether shook his head.

"I know where some Abyss mages are, but can't talk to her directly..." The person nodded as Barbara glared. They then turned to her.

"Have a few people find the Abyss mages and form a plan. Use Divalin if you need to."

"Go lay down."

"I will in a second. Tell the Abyss to use Divalin to terrorize Mondstadt. That way when the Lights go to try and stop him, you guys and the Abyss can jump on them." The person rubbed their face. "I can't assist any further than that. The most I can do for support is reaching out to Divalin to get full cooperation. But I'm going to lay down to do that. I will get well rested in case you guys need me. But I have more confidence in you than myself. Excuse me..." They went to leave before pausing. "Oh... before I-"

"I know what you're about to say. We'll use a statue." The person paused before nodding.

"Thank you." After they left, Barbara turned to Aether.

"Noelle, Bennett, and Klee. Take Aether to the Abyss mages. Make the plan. Amber and Albedo, go to the Fatui and let them know. We strike this week."
