After a few days, the party to find the emerald crown towards the north. It consisted of, Tashu, Xander and myself, as well as a few guards. Esme took over as standing in Mayor. "You ready?" Xander asked me as I saddled my horse. I smiled and nodded, before feeling myself being pulled into a kiss by him. I kissed back, before pulling away to continue readying myself. The others soon joined. Tashu, an orc female soldier, a male human soldier, a female human soldier, and a male goblin archer. "Are we nearly ready?" Tashu asked as they sheathed their sword. I nodded. We left soon after.

I stood in a dimly lit war room, hunched over a map of Aldom, a dagger in the target. The newly independent town. My last attack had failed miserably. "How?" I whispered to myself. "I sent my best soldiers, alongside one of the king's personal troops. How did it fail?" I slammed by hands onto the table in agitation. "General." I heard a deep sinister voice from by the door. I turned to see the King walking through the door.

I bowed. "I am disappointed to learn you have not yet conquered that poor excuse of a town." He stated. I gritted my teeth. "My forces have nearly managed to break through," I started, before being interrupted by the king. "Key word, nearly. First your forces fail to stop a revolt, then you cannot send more troops to take the town back. It's as if you aren't even trying." I opened my mouth. Then closed it. "Don't fail me again. Or else."
