Three days later, the revolution began. All those in our cause assembled in the inn at midnight, where we gave the troops all the weapons we had collected. The plan was simple: the soldiers were going to come through the streets of the town looking for me, my closest allies and a few other would be on the roof with ranged weapons waiting for the right moment to strike, whilst the rest where in their homes preparing to fight.

"Their here." I heard Esme say. I sighed, before grabbing my slingshot and pouch of rocks. "It's time." I solemnly said. The couple dozen of my troops on the roofs split up into groups, jumping to different buildings. We watched, helpless, as the soldiers marched through the streets. The first door was soon broken down, signalling the ambush.

The rebels began to rush out their houses and attack the unsuspecting guards. Us on the rooftops fired down on them with our slings and bows. After running out of ammo, we jumped down into the skirmish below. I pulled out my sword and began slashing the attackers. "Look out." Xander yelled at me. I ducked and saw a elven dagger flying over my head. I looked behind me and saw the dead body of a mace wielding soldier dead in front of me. "Thanks." I wheezed, before locking into a fierce sword fight with the captain of the attacking force.

He swung at me with his sword, luckily, before it could hit me, I dodged it. I then began the counter attack and slashed at his stomach. He blocked and we clashed again. "You are weak." He spat as he blocked my attacks. He attempted to slice my stomach, luckily I thrust my upper body backwards, dodging the attack before returning with three strikes, the first being blocked, the second striking the enemies leg, and the third stabbing into his stomach. The man fell to the ground dead. The enemy began to retreat. I watched with pride, cheering at the top of my voice, as did a group of rebels with me, as more revolutionaries chased the enemies, throwing rocks and bricks at them. I looked over to see Xander smiling at me.
