The atmosphere in Jungkook's office was as tense as it was cold. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooked the city skyline, but the breathtaking view went unnoticed by the team of associates seated at the long table. They were there for one reason only—to secure a high-profile client's legal standing, and failure wasn't an option.

At the head of the table sat Jungkook, the firm's top lawyer. His sharp eyes scanned the documents in front of him, his jaw clenched in concentration. The team knew his reputation: tough, uncompromising, and dangerously smart. No one spoke unless addressed. The silence was suffocating, save for the faint clicking of pens against paper.

"Mr. Jeon," one of the senior associates began nervously, "if we pursue the preliminary injunction, we may risk media exposure. Should we pivot the strategy before it becomes a PR nightmare?"

Jungkook's gaze shot up from the papers, sharp and unforgiving. "And you think changing tactics halfway through will somehow prevent a bigger scandal?"

The associate fumbled with his papers. "No, sir. I mean—uh, yes. I mean, we're just considering every possibility—"

"Then consider this: I'm not here to protect our client from uncomfortable headlines. I'm here to win. And if you're afraid of a few news stories, then you're in the wrong business."

The associate swallowed hard and nodded, eyes downcast.

Jungkook didn't tolerate fear or incompetence. His reputation in the legal world was built on strength and precision, and people feared him—rightfully so. His clients knew they were safe in his hands, and his adversaries dreaded the moment they stepped into court against him.

"I'm not interested in excuses. This firm stands on its reputation, and I won't let anyone jeopardize it with sloppy work."

Everyone fell silent, unwilling to meet Jungkook's gaze. His reputation for being uncompromising was well-known. He was meticulous, unforgiving, and one of the best lawyers in the business.

Just as Jungkook was about to move on to another topic, the door burst open. Namjoon stepped in, his expression grim, and unlike the others, he walked right up to Jungkook without hesitation. Namjoon was one of the few people who didn't have to fear Jungkook's cold demeanor.

"Jungkook, we need to talk now," Namjoon said, urgency clear in his voice.

Jungkook, annoyed at the interruption, raised an eyebrow.
But he didn't question the elder and stood up, pushing the chair back with more force than necessary. He addressed his team without looking at them. "This meeting is over. We'll continue later."

The associates didn't hesitate, quickly gathering their belongings and filing out, clearly relieved to escape the storm brewing in their boss's mind. When the door closed behind the last person, Jungkook turned to Namjoon.

"This better be important."

Namjoon handed him his phone, already opened to the news feed. Jungkook's sharp eyes scanned the headline, his heart stopping for a fraction of a second when he saw the images splashed all over the media.
