This is Historical fiction so it was common for girls to get married at early age at that times. 

14 was considered  GOOD age to marry your girl and even child marriage also acceptable in those times. Neighbouring kings promise their kids to each other at their birth time only to maintain the friendship. I hope you will be with me through this journey and love the story.
