I sat beside her and picked up the bowl in my hand.

I looked at the stick inside it which has cotton cloth wrapped around it. My brain clicked it, they use it like we use feather for writing.

Okay.

I picked it in my hand but it was hard to handle. It was slipping again and again. With a frustrated sigh I finally held it in  my hand.

I grinned with proud.

I am smart but handling this little thing made me feel like I have won a war.

I looked my baby sleeping soundly. Her eyes closed and her beautiful lashes kissing her cheeks. There were days when I used to get jealous of her lashes, but now I can kiss her anytime so nevermind.

But jealousy took the best of me and I leaned in to kiss her cheek.

To my surprize, she smiled. I kissed her another cheek and her smile widen. Her cheeks turned pink instantly.

My goodness.

I smiled like a mad man sitting there looking at her pink cheeks. She is adorable.

I then sat beside her and took her one hand in mine. I never looked at anyone's mehendi and never payed attention to how they apply it. It is indeed difficult.

I just noticed mahroo's finger's first section deep maroon so I too coloured all of them with the stick but it was slipping from my hand so I applied with my finger.

Her hand was looking beautiful now. I grinned at myself.

But there is something inside her palm as well. What should I do of empty space?

I looked around and found flowers, a jug of water, curtains, wall art, carpet. My eyes shine brightly. I looked at the carpet again and there was a peacock drawn on it.
