Chapter 5: Judgement

Juno was in her hotel room she shared with her Auntie Mei.

She was drawing in her notebook, a notebook given to her by her Auntie Mei to take her mind off things, seeing that it worked a bit/Juno seemed to like it a lot.

Juno began drawing the rocky terrains back home, as well as some of the new things she's seen here. But than she found herself kinda wanting to draw Sombra. Missing her. But also hating her so much that she was upset at herself for wanting to even think about drawing her.

Mei was unaware of that, sitting on the bed, watching the news.

Mei: " oh my god, this is terrible!" Watching breaking news. Mondatta just been assassinated.

" what? what happened?" Juno asked, confused. Seeing Mei look shocked covering her mouth.

" Mondatta just got assassinated!" Mei said, still in shock. Thinking she needs to call people.

The past few days in Japan well were... hectic to say the least.

There were guards/police/security everywhere. Even though this crime/incident didn't take place here the outrage/upheaval was going on all over the world. Nobody was really out on the streets unless they were protesting/rioting from the outcome. Mostly destroying things, looting, making a statement, etc. It was really scary times for Juno, so she stayed in the Hotel for awhile until things calmed down a bit.

Later eventually met up with Kiriko again. Mei having arranged another meeting with her so the two could go out. But Juno noticed that she didn't look the same. I mean, she just just had this off-putting feeling of guilt or something like that on her face, like she did something wrong. But Juno could also see that she was very frustrated and angry.

Juno: " are.. are you okay?" seeing Kiriko look very upset.

" I'm fine." Kiriko said, but her voice had a lot of anger in it. Like she was mad at herself.

Juno wanted to say " but you do not seem fine" but decided to keep her mouth shut. Seeing that she's really not in the mood to be tested.

That day Kiriko took Juno out to the forestry areas where she likes to practice training. " you know your aunt Mei told me with everythings that's been going on that she'd like you to know how to protect yourself. She asked me if I could teach you some things" Kiriko explained, as she took out her throwing daggers.

" o-oh! no!" Juno said, not liking knives/any sharp objects. In addition, not wishing/wanting to hurt anyone.

Juno was very adamant on it. Refusing.

Kiriko shrugged. Thinking if she doesn't wanna learn than she doesn't wanna learn. Not pushing her.

" but.. why do you carry those? for.. protection?" Juno asked, seeing Kiriko put away her daggers. Not knowing that she had carried it the whole time on her. Thinking back to when she first met Kiriko, was she also concealing that under her clothing too?

Kiriko: " you can never be too careful" than admitted " but yeah, I've got a few enemies"

" enemies? like who?" Juno asked, confused and curious. Thinking that Kiriko seems like a good person so who would want to harm her?- Juno thought.

" well I'd rather not say, but for one the Hashimoto. After.. somethings happened.. they basically became the mafia here" Kiriko explained, seeing Juno look very confused. Making Kiriko than explain what mafia means.

Kiriko decided to take Juno out to the arcades. Having fun there. Juno enjoyed playing those games there, and even though it's all pixels and stuff she still enjoyed the pretend scenery of being in outer space.

Eventually as the day ended, and Mei asked Juno if she learned anything from Kiriko Juno ended up telling her how she felt. Which Mei understood, even though it worried her a bit that she had no way of defending herself if something would happen.

" okay! let's skip all this dread! and let's go find some cute boys for you to talk to!" Mei said, thinking this'll cheer up Juno.

" h-huh?!" Juno said, blushing. As she was ushered out. Arm being dragged by Mei to the all you can eat buffet.

Although Juno was introduced to a lot of strangers/cute boys Mei thought would be perfect for Juno to talk to/hang out. Juno wasn't really interested. Thinking she's got enough relationship troubles she doesn't need anymore. Besides, none of them she talked to made her feel like she did when she was with Sombra...

In addition, Juno didn't tell Mei about her relationship with Sombra/a girl because she thought/and was told by Kiriko that those things are just unacceptable/not be spoke of. So, never even told her Auntie Mei that she'd rather probably be with a girl.

Meanwhile...

Sombra was back at Talon's base, hacking. But.. she looked around to see if anyone was nearby and opened a new tab. Wanting to know what's going on with Juno. Even though she's not suppose to do this.

She hacked into security cameras and found that she was currently staying at a Hotel in Japan. Seeing Juno made Sombra smile again. Missing her. Watching her from the cameras she saw her make funny mistakes in the hotel's buffet. Causing Sombra to quietly chuckle. But also rise a feeling of jealous within her. Seeing Juno talk to all those cute boys. Who were all very interested in her. Causing Sombra mood to decline, not liking that/seeing Juno talking to those cute boys.

" and who is this?" Sombra heard a familiar voice.

Quickly exiting out of her screens. " viejito! (old man!) don't scare me like that!" Sombra said, relieved to see it was only him and not the others.

" my apologies. But it seems like everyone was celebrating and you weren't there, I was wondering if you were feeling under the weather so I brought you something to eat" Sigma spoke, thinking his friend would definitely be there. If not for the interactions than surely the drinks.

" aww isn't that sweet?" Sombra said, taking the party favor dish from Sigma.

" run along viejito, go enjoy the party, I'm fine. Oh! And make sure you talk to Moria" Sombra said, not wanting to spoil Sigma's fun of talking to Moria. Since he fucking loves it. And she knows Moria fucking hates it.

" ah yes! I can't wait to talk to her about-" Sigma was cut off by Sombra waving goodbye to him as she quickly closed the door. Also not wanting to hear.

And so while at the party...

" but of course Doctor.. I mean it's just so intricate isn't it?" Moria said, hearing Sigma say " exactly!" So happy talking to Moria. As only they can see/understand the things he wants to say.

" by the way Doctor.. I don't mean to pry but earlier today I noticed Sombra was not here.. was it perhaps you are still punishing her?" Sigma spoke, thinking that's a bit harsh.

" it is none of my concern if she shows up here or not doctor. I had nothing to do with it." Moria spoke, making Sigma say " oh I see, my apologies for such accusations" mistaken Sombras absence as an assignment placed on her but apparently this wasn't the case.

" however.. it is a bid odd isn't it? not seeing her here. Especially since it's a big Talon Operational success and we have the drinks she ever so enjoys.." Moria began to ponder.

" perhaps it has something to do with her new friend" Sigma suggested. Thinking back to what he saw before.

" friend?" Moria inquired. Knowing Sombra doesn't have 'friends'

" why yes! earlier today I caught her observing someone who seemed to be her friend. However I am not sure, I'd need to gather more evidence." Sigma said, hearing Moria say " you do that. I'd like to know as well.. and be subtle about it." as the conversation lead to the night.
