Chapter 6: Forbidden Fruits

Sigma was doing his own little investigation into Sombra's new friend. Of course he couldn't hack like her, but he could gather information through observation and questioning which he loves to do.

Although Sombra was very conservative about talking about herself and things related to her. Eventually she did slip up.

Sigma: " oh so you like women?" finding out Sombra's preferences. Seeing her blush and say " what?! uh-!" Thinking damn Sigma's very clever finding that out based on the very few things she said to him. And those things were all very concealed in the true meaning too. 

" no! *nervously chuckles* of course not! stop playing around!" Sombra said, flat out denying it.

" but based on what you told me you'd most likely prefer-" Sigma was cut off by Sombra putting her hand over his mouth and say " okay! okay! I like girls okay?! You don't need to advertise it to the whole Talon base okay?!" wanting to keep that hidden. Knowing that even if she admits this to Sigma knowing him he most likely won't do any harm to her knowing that.

" my apologies" Sigma said, lowering his voice.

" anyway why do you care so much? interested?" Sombra asked, inquiring if he was hitting on her/wanting to ask her out. Even though she didn't take him as such.

" oh no, my hearts taken by another." Sigma said, hearing Sombra ask " Moria?" seeing him smile and say " the one and only." very taken by her. Even though she doesn't feel the same.

" yeesh.. I could only imagine what you see in her.." Sombra said, thinking Moria's a type of women that'll make your life a living hell.

" why elegant beauty and intelligence of course!" Sigma said, liking how refined Moria is as well as how smart she is. Even though in the world I'm sure a lot of guy's don't like those kind of traits especially if a woman is smart/has her own opinions that will definitely clash with yours.

" uh I hate to burst your bubble but I think she's more in love with Dr. Ziegler" Sombra said, referring to Angela Ziegler or better known as Mercy.

" I'd have to politely disagree with you there Sombra." Sigma spoke, causing Sombra to say " oh? so her literally obsessing over her isn't enough?" making Sigma say " I think she's striving for acknowledgement from another she see's as equal. Not romantic interest." making Sombra say " could be both tho" thinking yeah that's true where Moria always seems like she want's Mercy to acknowledge her work/findings.

" if you feel so strongly about that, than what about yourself?" Sigma redirected back.

" I don't know what you're talking about" Sombra said, hearing Sigma say " well the truth is, I'm very curious to know who that person is that you keep looking at on your screens" Sigma admitted, breaking the sly intentions. Just being flat out truthful since they are good friends.

" wha- that's nobody" Sombra said, denying it. But she can't hide the truth from someone like Sigma who's very observant.

Sigma gave her that look.

" okay.. well.. she use to be my.. (pause) friend.. but not anymore.." Sombra said, sadly. Reluctantly admitting it.

" why aren't you two friends anymore?" Sigma asked, hearing Sombra say " it's complicated." not wanting to tell Sigma " oh well it's because I literally killed everyone in Overwatch's Artic Watch Point Base and she saw me kill one person right in front of her too" not wanting her friend to know what Talon is really doing/break his innocence. As everyone is just giving off the illusion to the good doctor that this is just like a regular facility/base that has a lab and we're all 'normal' co-workers. To better control him/keep him oblivious.
