CHAPTER 3 < 𝙹♡ >

𝟽:𝟷𝟹𝙿𝙼

It was late. And Kai grunts slightly in pain while he fell inside his room through the window.

After the visit with Miles. Kai was surprised when he had found out with his identity. He let out a heavy sigh.

He got up. And lifted one of his fingers on his cheek and felt the scar on his face.

Kai walked towards his toilet and went to wash his face. He flinched a bit as he felt it burn.

When he was done placing a bandage. He changed into his comfortable clothes and went to his bed. Breathing heavily. Kai was exhausted.

He passed out. And fell asleep.

𝚂𝚞𝚗𝚍𝚊𝚢

He woke up. And groans softly while stretching. Yawning a bit.

Kai reaches out for his phone. And rubs his eyes.

It was a Sunday. And it's a day when Kai doesn't do a lot. But aside from saving people he still does that.

A few hours he spent it lying on his bed. While mindlessly scrolling through his phone. Let's bfr here.

Kai then looks at the time. He got off the bed. Then tied up his short hair. And grabbed one of his comfy sweaters wearing it.

It was a cold weather here so it seemed. He walks off to the kitchen to eat something.

He placed his phone down. And let the music play. Kai went to grab a bowl and milk. He placed it down onto the table. He then grabbed the cereal box.

pouring the cereal into the bowl. Hearing it hit against the glass bowl. He placed the cereal box aside and then grabbed the milk pouring it in.

He sat down and enjoyed his breakfast.

When he was done. Kai went to wash his bowl and spoon.

He grabbed his phone and went back to his room to be lazy again.

Kai's eyes widened when he saw the time. He got his heavy body up. And showered.

After a nice cold shower. He went to dry himself off. And wear his home clothes.

Kai cleans up his bed and room. He exhaled heavily and lay in his bed.

Suddenly his spider senses went off.

..

He was swinging around and saw an old lady who seemed to be in her 50's with a worried expression. Spider man then landed down. His spider senses told him too. and jogged towards her.

"Is everything ok ma'am?" Kai asked with a gentle tone. "No. My pets. They ran off..cus I didn't lock the place up properly."

Spider-Man looks at the store. It seems to be a Pet store. "Ah..Ok. Here let me help u find your pets." Kai says as he offers his help.

The lady looks up at him with a soft smile. "That would be wonderful, dear."

Spider man went off to find the missing cats.

Kai was swinging around and saw two stuck in a tree. He landed down and looked up at the tree. He sighed. "How do.. I get them off?.."

He huffs slightly. Kai decides to climb up the tree. Slowly, not to scare the cats.

"Hello kitties, don't be scared. I'm here too–"
One of the cats then hissed at him. Making Kai lean back slightly. "Hey! No biting. I'm here to save u..come on.." Kai offers his hand near one of the cats. Luckily one did. Kai held onto the ginger cat.

But the other didn't. Kai went down first and put the ginger cat into the carrier.

Spider-Man looked up at the other white cat. Who did not seem interested to go down.

He sighed heavily. And climbed the tree once more. He remembered the lady gave Kai some treats.

Kai went to quickly grab one of it and went up again.

He placed some of the treats in his hand. And offered it to the female white cat. "Here kitty, kitty.."

Kai successfully made the white cat walk towards him. And grabbed her.

...

So far. He had found. Well. Two but hey spider-man did his best. And there's a lot more to find.

Kai went back to the Pet store to give the two other cats back to the old lady.

..

After a few hours. Of getting back some animals. Who were not very kind. And some of em' was.

The lady offered some money to Kai as a thank you. But he rejected it. "No-no..U need it more than me" Kai spoke with a soft tone.

"Nonsense. U deserve it spider man. U helped me  find my cats and dogs. I cannot be more thankful. So here take it."

Kai then gave in and only took 10 dollars. And the rest he gave it to the lady.

Kai was spending some of his time just swinging around the buildings. He landed on one of them.

letting out a deep sigh.

He remembered about the prowler. And the moments he had with him.

He decided to go visit one of his friends. Joey. She only knows about his identity.

...

Kai was knocking on Joey's window. She suddenly noticed Spider-Man hanging onto her window frame. She went to her window and opened it.

"Heyy..So I have some news.." Kai spoke while he dropped inside her apartment. "What's up?"

"Uhh..well bad news reallyyy.."

...

"WHAT?!" Joey speaks in a shocked tone as she stood up.

Kai was sitting on the edge of her bed. Holding his mask that he took off.

"How??" Joey asked as she crossed her arms.

"I'm not sure..He probably got help or something. But yeah.." Kai groans as he leans forward while he places his elbows on his knees.

"..Great.." Joey said with a hint of sarcasm in her voice. While she sat beside him.

Kai seemed stressed out. Running his fingers through his hair. Joey went to place her hands on his back while slowly rubbing it. In a comforting manner.

He let out a heavy sigh. And leans his head on her shoulder. "I'm really tired.."

"Being a hero is not easy.." Kai muffled his words while he hugged Joey. Wrapping his arms around her waist, nuzzling his head on her neck.

Joey played with his hair. "Mhm..I know.." she spoke in a soft tone.
