Undercover

Present time (The beggining)

It's Monday 9th August, Aveline and Jacob are working in the lab testing on the immunes blood, still looking for a cure, until Dr. Ava Paige walks through the doors, looking very unhappy.

'Hello Aveline, Jacob can I speak to Aveline. Alone please.' She says as Jacob nods and walks out, worried about what might happen to Aveline. 'Aveline, I want you to go undercover in the maze. Yes, I know, it's a shock, but we need it. We need you, to do this.' Ava looks Aveline in the eyes. Aveline's expression changes to one of confusion and worry.

'But... why me..? What about Jacob..! We can't be seperated! Please! We just can't!!' Aveline says, Ava can tell she's about to cry, and she grabs a peice of tissue from her pocket and hands it to Aveline.

'I get it, it's hard being away from Jacob, but you have to Aveline. Please. For the world's sake...?' Ava says, pleading, her voice is desperate, 'Please Aveline....' Ava's eyes are full of tears.

'I... Ok.. I'll go... but please... don't make me go without saying goodbye to Jacob... he's my everything... please... let me say goodbye to  him... please Ava...' Aveline pleads, almost crying.

Ava nods, 'Ofcourse... You have a week before you have to go, make sure you say goodbye to everyone.. We all will miss you, now go on... Your final week starts today Aveline.. Make sure it counts. ' Ava says as Aveline walks out. Then she wipes her eyes,
'About time, took enough covincing.' Ava says as she goes back to work.

                                                                             (Meanwhile with Aveline and Jacob)

'No... no... Aveline.. don't tell me you said yes... please don't say it...' Jacob says, his voice hoarse with emotion, 'Please....' his voice is cracking... it's tearing Aveline apart.. but she needs to...

'I'm sorry Jacob.. I have to... I'm so sorry... I don't want to leave you but i don't have much of a choice...' Aveline looks at Jacob, who is breaking down in tears, and now her eyes are tearing up slowly, it hurts like a knife to the chest seeing Jacob in this much pain, Aveline hugs Jacob tight, like it going to solve all his problems. Jacob hold onto Aveline like his life depends on it, his tears soaking Aveline's shoulder.. Soon enough, her tears mix with his. They are holding on tight to eachother, like its the last moments of life.

'Aveline... I  don't want you to go...' Jacob says as he gasps, he's choking on his own tears, it feels like he's dieing... he can't bear the thought of being away from Aveline... they way he won't be able to tell her jokes anymore... he won't be able to hold her like he always did when she cried....
