A couple hours later Hope is coming out of the bathroom when she runs into Landon. "Sorry about that." He glances up. "Hope, I didn't know you were back." Landon says scratching the back of his head.
"Yeah I got here this afternoon. When did you get here?" Hope looks surprisingly at him.
"Raphael called me around noon and told me what happened. I was on my way to Whitmore to visit him when I found out so I decided to come check on everyone. I can't believe this happened. I just saw Dr. Saltzman a few weeks ago." Landon says sadly avoiding Hope's gaze.
"I haven't seen anyone in a long time." Hope says, regret evident in her voice.
"After we broke up, you kinda just disappeared. Although I don't blame you. You never were that good at hiding your feelings." Landon looks up with a smirk.
"I don't know what you mean." Hope says avoiding his green eyes.
"Come on Hope, I'm not dumb. Don't think I didn't notice the way you were with Josie. You used to blow me off constantly to be with her. And I refuse to believe you switched schools because of whatever bs you told everyone. Worst excuse ever." Landon says in a hushed tone, eyes looking around the hallway.
"Could have something to do with you cheating on me, but this isn't the time or place to discuss that is it?" Hope says defensively arms crossed over her chest.
Landon's goes to say something else but gets cut off, "Look, the past is the past and I put all that behind me a long time ago. I'm gonna go check on the twins and Caroline before I leave." Hope pushes past her ex and walks away.
Hope walks into the kitchen and spots MG and Lizzie doing the dishes. "Babe, I can finish this by myself. You can go check on your sister and your Mom if you want to." MG looks towards his girlfriend and smiles.
"Thanks honey. I'll go clear everyone out and take Mom to bed. I saw Josie go to her room with Penelope a few minutes ago so I'm sure she's alright for now." Lizzie hugs him from the back as she exits the kitchen, squeezing Hopes shoulder as she passes by.
"Anything I can do to help MG?" Hopes asks as she walks up and stands next to him by the sink.
"How about you dry while I wash?" MG says as he hands her a dish towel.
Hope takes the towel and starts drying off a dish. "So I thought Josie and Penelope broke up?" She tries to sound nonchalant.
"They did but you know how Josie is, and they seem to be better as friends from what I've seen. And Lizzie hasn't tried to "destroy her" so that has to say something. MG does finger quotes while laughing a little.
Hope is quiet for a few minutes. "So she seems happy? Josie I mean."
"I guess." MG pauses for a few seconds and looks up at Hope. "Honestly, she hasn't really been the same since you left."
