Jimin lifted his gaze to meet the reflection of his body in the mirror, wearing a white shirt, black pant along with tie hanging around his neck. It was funeral day and the little boy wasn't able to process anything. It was happening so suddenly and he doesn't know what is he going to do. His bottom lip quivered, missing his parents that he loved so much.
There was a knock on the door before it swing open, revealing Jungkook in a black suit, dressed up head to toe. The older looked the way Jimin was having a hard time accepting their parents death, even he, wasn't able to accept because it all happened in a frenzy.
"Hey little buddy," Jungkook stepped towards the younger, kneeling down infront of him and wiping his hands on his thighs. "You good?"
Jimin turned his body towards Jungkook, his eyes shone with tears. "I want mom and dad back."
Jungkook sighed, his heart feeling heavy at Jimin's words. He reached out his hand and grabbed Jimin's smaller hands in his. "I wish I could do that, min. You know I love you and I'd be willing to do anything for you but mom and dad... can't be back."
Jimin sobbed and looked down at his feet, his shoes polished neatly. "I miss them."
"I miss them, too." Jungkook pulled the boy closer to him and hugged his tiny frame. Jimin clutched onto Jungkook's arms and sobbed his heart out, while the older held back because if he broke down, he knew Jimin will loose his own strength.
After a while of sobbing, they pulled away. Jungkook stood up from his knees and sat down on Jimin's bed, pulling his younger brother towards him. The younger stood between Jungkook's legs, while the older held onto Jimin's hand.
"Min, look," Jungkook caressed Jimin's hands softly, licking his lips and preparing himself not to cry. "You are the only one I have now, you're the only family to me. And I'm the only one you have now. Let's take good care of ourselves, alright? I'm sure mom and dad would want this, too."
Jimin nodded his head briefly, sniffing and wiping his tears with the back of his hand. "Hyung, how did they die?"
Jungkook's breath got stucked in his throat at the question; he can't let Jimin know his parents were killed because the poor boy doesn't know Mr Jeon were a mafia. Jungkook can't take a risk to tell Jimin because he's not mature enough to handle the information and he might make a wrong move.
"They had a terrible accident," Jungkook informed, gulping harshly as he told a white lie.
"Should we get going?" The older asked, tilting his head to meet Jimin's gaze. "We'll go whenever you are ready, hmm?" He hummed gently and reached out his hand to wipe Jimin's chubby cheeks.
Jimin only wrapped his arms around his Hyung and dug his head in the crock of Jungkook's neck. The older jerked a little back at the intensity but wrapped his arms around Jimin's frame and hugged him back. He caressed the younger's hair and ran his hand on the boy's back in circular motion.
