It was crispy autumn.
The season carried a warm welcome with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves as Jimin and Jungkook walked side by side in the graveyard. The leaves beneath their feet rustled as they walked towards two familiar gravestones.
As they approached the gravestones, their heart recalled all the memories they had shared with their parents. They remembered the laughter, the smiles, the happiness that they had shared with their parents.
Today they decided to visit their parents, remorse the passing, a tragedy that bounded them with force to join in the mafia world. Jimin stood by Jungkook's side, his hand brushing against the older, a gentle reminder that Jungkook wasn't alone in his own grief.
Tears formed in their eyes, heart aching as they remembered all those memories. Jimin glanced at Jungkook noticing the etching of emotions, grief, sadness, agony but there was a hint of determination.
Their parents death has changed their lives completely, forcing them in a world of organized crime. They both wanted nothing but a sweet little family as they'd grew up but the fate always has different plans for everyone; some good, some bad.
The Jeon lagacy surely had become a burden for Jungkook but he'd never have an ounch of hesitation to protect Jimin and do the work he despised. He had given up on his dreams, his education, only for the lagacy and to protect the empire that has been created with his blood sweat and tears.
As they stood before the headstones Jungkook felt Jimin's hand softly sneaking in his, interlocking their fingers. A simple gentle gesture that spoke volumes of their heart. The older squeezed their hands tighter, remaining silent and paying respect of their parents memories.
The wind whispered secrets through the trees and Jimin swore he heard his mother's faintest lullaby, resulting his lips to quiver as tears pooled in his eyes.
"We've come a long way, Hyung." Jimin spoke up, his voice cracking a bit.
Jungkook looked down at him, his gaze soft with red rimmed eyes and unshed tears. "We have, Jimin. But we still have a long way to go."
Jungkook's heart filled with determination as he realised the murderer of his parents came back as if crawling his own way towards hell. He swore to god he'll find whoever that is and give them a painful death. As Jungkook stood before his father's grave, he made a firm promise to find the killer and give him what he deserves.
The older felt Jimin resting his head on his shoulder, a gentle reminder that the younger was there with him through thick and thin.
"I'll be always here for you, Hyung." Jimin promised.
Jungkook's heart swelled, his emotions threatening to spill over. "I'll be here for you as well, Min."
In that moment, admits of the shadows of their parents death, Jimin and Jungkook both realised that their love has went far beyond brotherly love. That there was something softer that attracted them to eachother, made them feel emotions to a certain level.
